Official PREPAID CARD *Discussion - NOT SELLING* thread Official PREPAID CARD *Discussion - NOT SELLING* thread

I have an idea... Why dont we have a "Prepaid Visa thread" where we point out which pre-paid Visa works with a particular site. Something like,

X poker = Gift2go
Y poker = Gift2go, Prepaidvisa.com
Z etc ...

Something like that but in much more detail, and of course much more professional looking than mine. Let me know what you think of this idea. If you hate the idea, please delete this post, thanks!

Edit/MH: Thanks for the suggestion. As it's your idea, and you've already explained it, I've simply changed the title of your thread to cater for subject posts.

I'd be more interested in a thread that discusses and lists Virtual Prepaid Visa like www.giftcards.com that work with online gaming.

Here are tons of PrePaid Visa, but I'd like to be able to buy and fund in 1-2 days (like giftcards.com), and not have to wait for a physical card to arrive in the mail.

I'll start the list:

1. www.giftcards.com
2. insert here

this thread is not working like i thought it would. I wanted to see:
FTP = Joe Blow's Prepaid Visa
UB = Mike Haven's Prepaid Visa
AP = Joe Blow's Prepaid Visa AND bla bla bla's Prepaid Visa accepted
PS = XYZ Prepaid Visa accepted

Something like this is what I was hoping for.

PS - www.giftcards.com works
AP - www.giftcards.com works
FT - www.giftcards.com works
UB - not sure

Now, I'm interested in if there are any other VIRTUAL (no waiting for a physical card to arrive) cards that work at these or other sites.

Anyone?

thanks Mikeroddick! Now we're starting to get somewhere!

Broker Rounder,

We need to keep posting here if you want replies, to keep this thread alive, otherwise it goes to the bottom, and no one reads it and no one posts.

And you'll be ever so popular for bumping.

Being Canadian, I don't really have any vested interest in the success/failure of this thread, but I have a thought - maybe no one wants a thread like this going for fear that DOJ/whomever are then alerted as to which funding routes they need to go after and shut down next? That's probably the reason for the suggestions of PMs or bogus site names.

Edit: Not that bogus site names will help. Bogus card names are what you need, but then the thread is useless anyway.

i wouldn't go through these links as this guy seems like kind of a sleaze ball. just go to giftcards.com. seems much less sketch and the cards work just as well.

I used giftcards.com at WSEX earlier this week, worked fine.

giftcards.com has stopped selling the virtual visa, though you can still order their physical gift cards and wait for them in the mail. I think that was the last straw for instant gratification.

I'm not sure why I'm a sleaze ball. The article I linked was from gambling911 and the card offer was something they were endorsing. I wasn't saying the page linked by that "well known" poker player was a good deal but it seemed appropriate for this thread. I guess it doesn't matter now.

Edit: The article is still on their front page so I'm not sure why the link was deleted unless the Mod knows something that I'm unaware of. But I'm not bashing the Mod. I'm sure there was a good reason.

Visa claims they have stopped offering the virtual visa "to prevent fraud" and assorted [censored]. Do the physical cards also cost $2.00USD?

I stopped by a local gas station to find the All Access Visa card, and it costs $3.95 to load $25, $50, $100, and perhaps larger increments. TOO MUCH.

Anyone found any that work at Sportsbook.com?

Thanks guys.

4% is too much for you?

Perhaps I should have clarified. With a particular goal in mind, the goal here being a consistently available method of deposit and a consistently available method of withdrawal [much like the pre-Jan 17th internet poker landscape] with the lowest fees possible or no fees at all. $3.95 is too much, 4%, wherever you pulled that figure from, would be WAY too much, unless I was only dealing with chump change deposits, which I am not.

With the goal being to resemble the former poker landscape as much as possible, the fees and fee schedules of a great many payment processors and prepaid gift cards are simply ridiculous, and poker players should not be so eager to accept them.

I understand we're all in a bind here, but we all must agree that the fees simply cannot continue unless we want to see our poker ecosystem completely die out.

$6.95 is the cheapest shipping option (1st class mail) for a giftcards.com VISA. Not as good or nearly as quick as the $2 fee for the virtual VISA, but not too bad if you get one with the max load ($500).
