So I just moved from Fulltilt to Pokerstars and I have been trying to get used to multi-tabling on the software. One thing that drives me crazy is the placement of the dealer button. The person on the button is the last person to act and the last person before the actual dealer button. So this would mean that the dealer button should be placed between the person on the button and the small blind. At Pokerstars they have decided to put the dealer button between the person on the button and the person in the cut-off. This might not be a big deal to most people and I am sure you got used to it. But I just don't get it. It makes no sense to me. The person that is on the button at Pokerstars actual cards are on the left side of the dealer button. WHY? The players cards to the direct left of the dealer button should be the small blinds cards. Notice how in the picture below the dealer button on Fulltilt is where it is supposed to be. Between the player that is the button and the small blind.

It confuses the **** out of me when the button raises and I am in the big blind. I have to look twice almost everytime because their cards are on the wrong side of the dealer button. So I have to realize I do not have position on this player. Really wish stars would fix this.

dont sweat it, by this time tomorrow you'll be used to it. Dont petition them to 'fix' this and **** over all of us that ARE used to it.

I understand what you're saying. But I don't think them fixing it would cause that much confusion to people already playing, because the button would still be right next to the player. It would just be on the opposite side. And their cards would be on the right side. I'm not petitioning though, just have no clue why it's like that.

FTP's button placement seems random for like 5 out of 9 seats. Stars is super consistent.
