Deposited a check from PS yesterday for 1000.00. It shows cleared in my account. But how long before it really clears. Should i be worried ?

The OP said it was stars, not FT...

Mine took 2 days to reject

Check cashing store FTW might have to pay higher fees but this is what I use and this way there is no bank trail of the transaction.

um, if tilt checks are bouncing too do we really want to get super nitty or do we want that information?

Yeah, pretty much since they do use the same processor - or at least one of the processors are the same. So it pretty much narrows down which checks are bouncing.

So is there anyone who has not had a check returned that deposited in the last few days? I called my bank and asked about the check and they told me it cleared and should be fine. The funds are available to me now. He also told me that he has never seen one returned after it hit the point my check had. Even So i am skeptical since my processor is the same as the ones that have been returned.

fwiw the money was in my account yesterday, then it got "returned".

I just received a check a few days ago and hadn't yet deposited it before I read this thread. I emailed stars and they said to hold off on cashing it.

so please tell me this will never happen in canada right?

Canadians don't hate each other like Americans do, so I doubt you have anything to worry about.

My check from 5/24 (cashed 6/1) hasnt cleared yet which is unusual, trying to find out about it now, but just another data point to try and nail down the date when checks started having problems.

EDIT: Yup bank just said its getting stamped as returned, so definitely didnt clear.

Somehow this email from PS is not comforting me.

check and was unable to cash it out. However, I noticed that we have
already sent you several checks in the past, and according to what our
records show, you have not experienced problems to cash them out. That
should assure you that your funds are safe at our site.

I have not been informed regarding the specifics of those players from the
post on the forum, who seem to have experienced problems to collect their
funds from checks that we issued them. Perhaps a few players might have
experienced some problems to cash out their checks, but we would have to
review their situation on a case-by-case basis in order to assess that a
problem is indeed taking place. We will gladly address any concerns
brought to our attention by any of the players who posted on the forum, in
order to assist them accordingly.

For the time being, please allow your bank to clear the check that you
have deposited in your account. In the rare event that there should be

Yeah I wouldnt sweat it, just means they havent sent a solution down to all the CS people yet, they'll figure it out if history is any guide.

cashed a $1500 check from FTP yesterday, got an email today saying it will bounce and that the money has been credited back to my account. NOW THE ****ING PIECE OF **** SOFTWARE WONT LET ME CASHOUT IT JUST SAYS VERIFYING ACCOUNT FOR ****ING 20 HOURS

now my bank probably thinks im trying to scam them or something. sigh i had a buddy where he cashed a bad check and he had credit problems for years.

Yeah, it's really bad for me, because I deposited a bad 5k$ check on Tuesday morning, and then Tuesday afternoon I withdrew 5k$ in cash.
