fwiw my experience. Two days ago I get email saying the there was a problem with a check from early February, and that I shouldn't cash it. Obviously I assume I did and haven't gotten any cancellation notice but oddly can't find record of a check for that exact amount in my banking statements. Then today I get a different (most recent) request undone and the $ from that (recent) request put back in account.

So I'm very confused but might have $4k I didn't know about which is now in poker check purgatory.

Same here, but you have to go over $5K to see the option.

You people are far too trusting. The fact they are not returning support inquiries regarding this is not a good sign.

If they are interested in resolving the issue(s) properly, they would have no problem getting back to people.

Like I said.. if everyone decides to blindly trust people who take funds from them, refuse to return them, and refuse to answer support tickets as to why. That is up to you
This is absurd.

We trust them because personally I have been a customer for 6 years and not one time did I not get paid.

When im inconvenienced and my money is late they give me a bonus.

We are trusting because they have the best track record of any poker site we have played on. And this is applicable for pre uigea when party and dise etc were around. Stars has always been #1 in terms of support etc. Full tilt hasn't been as great but they are certainly improving.

I will wager any amount u want that everyone gets paid when its all settled.

Also, are you that dense that you cannot comprehend that they are dealing with hundreds if not thousands of emails? Maybe they are backed up and not running to mexico with your cute little bank roll.

I've requested hundreds, if not thousands of checks, e checks, and so on in my 6 years playing online and not 1 time did I get stiffed.

I honestly don't know if you're trolling or what but your claims have no validity and make zero sense.

There are too many damn drama queens in this thread. You'll be fired if the check bounces? Give me a break. Just call the accountants, tell them you cashed a check but the company that gave it to you emailed you later saying they are having problems blah blah blah, and if it bounces, have the accountants contact you and you'll give the cash back + bounced check fees.

What sort of company will fire you for cashing a rubber check if it's obvious you're not trying to defraud them or cover it up? And further, you call them BEFORE it's a problem and promise to make it right.

I too am concerned about this mess, and I have enough money in my Stars account to consider it a "very significant" hunk of change to me. But what's most worrisome is if we soon have to jump through a ton of hoops just to play cards online, the casual players will just say "forget it" and the quality of the games will flat out suck from then on out. THAT is the big problem here. One way or another I will get my money out, but I'm worried about the future of online gaming.

You beat me to it - I was going to offer a similar prop bet along the same lines. Maybe we should start a separate thread and conduct a Pokerstars funds auction there.

Auction must be completed by 12:01am Monday.

Any of you drama queens want to put your money where your mouse is?

So are new checks going through ok now, and it's only those of us who made a prior deposit that are in limbo?

I wonder if Tourettes Guy plays online poker. And then had his check bounce.

Perhaps he needs to talk to this guy:

Yeah, probably going to do that. I finally got a response from stars and they said that I have to deposit using the account first, get it verified, etc.

Guess I should have been doing it that way all along. I wasn't sure if a Canadian address/bank would fly with US IP logins but worth a shot.

Thanks to those who replied.

I didn't read the inevitable 5 pages of drivel sprinkled with 5 useful posts in this thread, dunno if someone mentioned this.

I am excited at the possibility of a 20% bonus like the last time there were check problems from stars. Ship insane interest rate!

Clearly they're going to send you a check they expect to bounce so don't go withdraw anything now.

This is incorrect. You can request a check, it will be sent from a functioning processor.

Def not being a drama queen here. I am like 90% certain if that check comes back I will lose my job. We are not permitted to cash checks at work, so it would not be "PokerStars" fault, it would be mine for violating a rule, when I knew better. I made precisely one post in this thread prior to now, someone was nice enough to pm me the supposed processor and I believe I am most likely in the clear. I am def not in the "sky is falling crowd", however, and really don't appreciate being lumped in. I made a random post last night in the last second before I left the house for the night to celebrate my wife's birthday with her and really did not have much time to elaborate.

Thanks,

Les

How do you request so many checks when Stars will only allow one per week?
