This six months from last deposit has been policy for awhile, they didnt just make it up because of any issues this week.

Also checks cut by different processors arent having problems.

Shoot me a PM if you want details on the processors, its probably not as bad you think.
Definetly cashed the 5/1 check, think it was Tuesday or something along with 2 others. Have 2 here whch i don't know are good or not, but look the same as the not good one. Says its from the same location same bank and looks the same so I'm guessing same processer. I'm on a heater and feel like I've just been winning monopoly money. As soon as I see a way I'm confident is legit I'm cashing out at least 3/4 of my roll. May just permanetly grind 2 4 with no shots ever on a short roll.

I wasnt precise enough, my apologies. I was assuming that you didnt cash the 5/1 check before the end of last week when the processor started having problems.

If its the same processor AND the same bank, they're probably no good, that account is frozen.

Understand your frustration, but I think you have very little worry about actually getting your money. In the current environment, you're better off not letting checks sit around for this very reason. Cash 'em the day you get em, you still might run into problems, but you dont risk bouncing five checks.

EDIT: Wanted to add in response to your first post, if you cashed the other 3 from Stars BEFORE the end of last week, they're probably fine.

Yeah its been policy for a while. I wouldn't worry about stars attempting to steal anyones money.

Any thoughts on what their response is going to be? I have a ton of overdraft fees because I thought my account was pretty healthy with my recent deposit...

They will almost certainly cover your fees

Has anyone asked them to reverse the check withdrawal so they can do a wire transfer? How long does that take?

This is probably the worst possible time being so many poker players cashing out to go to Vegas or summer vacation.

This same thing happened last summer when I was playing on Full Tilt. I cashed out around 2k and payed a ton of bills off and then the check bounced a few weeks later. Full Tilt gave me $200 for the inconvenience, redeposited the money into my account and reissued me a second check that cashed just fine. The funny part about this is that the check I just received from stars that bounced was from the exact same bank that the one that bounced last summer was from.

Any idea how hard I'm going to get owned because I overdrew my checking account? I got like a 2k check and paid for some plane tickets which I didnt have enough to cover until I got the check.

Think stars would cover any fees I get for this?

I got that e-mail too.. the one I just posted is a newer one saying that they are having a cashier specialist look at it.. perhaps we can expect account credits sooner than Monday and then on Monday they will answer the "why" aspect of this mess.

Given the UIGEA, folks need to practice some conservative liferoll management.

I'm a liferoll NIT. If have 6 weeks of $$ in my checking account at all times. NOTE: I'm not a pro poker player.

EDIT: Nice avatar. I guess your gonna have to wait before you can rub my money on your titties

Nah, the first one you posted IS from the cashier specialist. Don't expect anything before Monday.

I got a Stars email warning about the check I deposited earlier this week. Today I got another check (from a new processor) and no warning from Stars. So I guess everything is fine going forward. Just a pain for those of us that have to deal with the bad checks (as well as the ominous overtones of losing another, and I guess one of the more important, processors.)

Since I already got a PM, I suppose I will give more details, in case they help.

I cash out a certain amount of money every time my PStars account reaches a certain number. Basically, I require a certain bankroll, and everytime my account reaches $X above my bankroll, I withdraw $X. That's why I would sometimes get multiple checks in one week, in case you're wondering. Anyway, I have had a good couple of weeks so I have requested lots of checks:

Check requested 5/21
Deposited 5/29
Cleared

Check requested 5/27
Deposited 6/5
Currently in "Held" status by my bank, and received the warning email today from Stars about this and only this check.

Both of these two above checks were from the same processor, which is the bad one according to the person who PM'd me the info.

Check requested 5/30
Arrived today
Different processor

Check requested 6/3
Not yet received

I'll keep this updated if it's helpful.

That's not the problem. The problem(s) are

1)It's still a huge pain for anyone trying to move money in/out. This will cause some people not to play anymore.

And the more important

2)It's **** ******ed that people can't do what they want with their hard earned money because some cat killer wanted to politically give some guy from Iowa a ****job so he could get a shot at the presidency

Sorry but aren't you supposed to have 6 months of money saved up for a rainy day even if you're not a nit? That's the standard advice I have always heard.
