Re: ** Official ** PokerStars Check Problems Thread

I haven't read whole post so please forgive any ignorance here:

Can I cash the check at a check cashing store or WalMart? Fees, as long as they're not exorbitant, don't bother me much.

What will happen if they cash the check and then it ends up being "bad?"

Re: ** Official ** PokerStars Check Problems Thread

I am a retail manager and cashed one from PS at my workplace early this week. I am now concerned since a bounced check with my name on it could result in termination.
PM processor, please.

If you know the check is bad and you cash it anyway you will be committing check fraud.

Fyi stars sent me an email in response to a question regarding future checks. Any paper checks requested now shouldn't have any issues.

Can you copy and paste so we can determine whether it's a BS response or not?

Thanks!

They have five processors that I'm aware of and only having problems with one. Why do you think they would lie to their customers?

Edit: Well, five banks. I think this processor is used for two or three of them, so probably 3 processors that I'm aware of.

Hey guys since the government shut down this processor then why do you insist on hiding the processor name? They already know about it plus even if they dont it wont be used again so there is no harm in posting the processor name.

In the unlikely event that it isn't UIGEA related. Plus, it sets a precedent of naming processors in which people start naming valid ones.

I'm not saying that they're maliciously lying, I'm saying there's a possibility that they're just trying to calm the nerves of their players when really there's a chance that bad checks are still being issued.

They would never send out this email:

"Dear ____,

There's a good chance the check that you receive will bounce, but we're not certain.

Regards,

Support"
