Yeah, I'm only licensed to practice in several states, so I must be full of ****.

To get nerdy, they can't just do it, they have to show cause before a judge will issue an injunction or TRO (and, sadly, having an offshore account like a pokersite just might convince some judges that you present a risk of squandering possible marital assets)

I for one am shocked. From your posting i had the impression you're a perfectly calm and rational human being.

Might be time for a new lawyer, IMO.
Been single last 12 years, don't need a lawyer. No need to google about divorces. Besides, nothing in this thread has anything to do with divorces. Been fun chatting. Later.

Has anyone requested a check since, and cashed it from one of the different processors yet? Stars says they are still able to cut checks, and the check will be good. I requested one yesterday, I will let you know when I get it, and if it clears, or if I have just doubled the amount of money I have in limbo.

I have a check request from the 5th which stars claims will be fine. The check is still in the pending cashouts section after 40 hours or so.

My check request from the 4th is also still in pending. I haven't done an actual check since January so does anyone that does regular checks regularly know how long it usually takes to go from pending to processed?

Federal Reserve------> State Attorney General------>Banks/financial insitutions------->poker players.

Its fairly clear this is how this "hiccup" has propagated. Therefore there is no reason to think this will not become a more frequent, more severe problem. There is also no reason to think that banks will not provide the attorney general with a list of online poker players to be dealt with somehow. I'm a little nervous about this.

It's like with all the problems on the plate on the federal reserve, they have to get their panties in a twist about some poker players? really?

Can someone PM me the name of the processor where the checks were bad from?

I deposited 2 checks from the processor that went bad on Monday June 1st. One was from PS and one was from FT but both were from the processor where checks are bouncing. Both of my checks cleared and I havent heard anything from my bank or PS or FT. So hopefully I am ok. I think my checks arrived in mail on Thurday May 28th. I think I am probably in the clear if I havent heard anything yet. Didnt they email most people and tell them there checks were bad?

Ya, mine is still pending too. This doesn't look good for me having any kind of money in my account by the 12th. Time to get creative.

why do people keep asking for this? How does it benefit you to know? What is the point of not publicly announcing the processor, but PMing it to anyone that asks?

I requested my checks on May 26th I just found out. I havent heard anything yet from bank or sites so hopefully I was early by a couple days before this mayhem happened.

This doesn't make any sense. Seriously.

So that this thread doesn't show up when somebody searches the processor's name.

I have a debit card from my credit union that has always worked flawlessly, so I tried to deposit 20 bucks to see if that still worked in case i ever needed a new deposit option. It was denied, meaning my credit union or the government is starting to crack down on internet pokahz. Thus, I think something bigger than a processing error is going down

Thanks for the clarification, but this is unlikely related to anything larger. For a long, long time, major banks have been prohibiting payments to Poker Sites via debit cards.

Maybe he deposited one of the bad checks, it bounced, and he thought he had more money than he did. Swipes his card to get some groceries, and gets rejected because of a negative balance in his account.
