Re: *** Official Poker Pros Network Support and Promotions Thread ***

Tonight I had a cash table open and when it was time for the freeroll to start, the table opened and did not close the client. Worked fine for me this time!!

so here it is less than three and a half hours until the weekly rake leaders playoff start and, while the events are posted, the participants are not registered. Unlike last week, i did not receive an email notifiying me that i was participating. This may be because there records do not show me as being in the top 3 (which my records show i am)-- It wouldn't be the first time they calculated the points incorrectly. Since they wait so long to get this done i don't have the opportunity to question the PPN official standings in time to play the event.

Re: *** Official Poker Pros Network Support and Promotions Thread ***

A recent email from customer servie stated: "Congratulations. You are among the 16 top Rakers for the month of May. We are currently reformatting and reprogramming our Monthly Top 16 Winner-Take-All Tournament, which has made it unavailable to run for this month."

I now have a modicum of hope that this event may return in the future. However, considering the slow pace at which PPN glitches are being fixed, i'm not holding my breath.

For the first 8 days of the month there were 2 promotions for the tourney leaderboard, distinct from the rakers leaderboard, which no longer appear at the promotions/leaderboard page. I commented on this previously, noting that it seems to operate primarily as an additional reward for those who had already won money in freerolls. I was hoping that we might hear from Gio what the PPN perspective on this is by now. Again, i'm not holding my breath.

Re: *** Official Poker Pros Network Support and Promotions Thread ***

anyone ever notice this on the promotions/leaderboard page?

"Each time the PPNCEO wins a headsup match he will add money to the pot. 1st Place will add 10.00 2nd place will add 5.00 and 3rd place will add 2.00. Once the pot is won by a player the next week will revert back to the original pot starting value."

In the 8 weeks at least this promotion has been running, PPNCEO has won several times but none of money has been carried over. what's up with that?

I didn't even know there was a leader board until you and skunkybud brought it up and even then I didn't pay much attention until I saw I was
on the tournament board and needed to hit a 2nd place finish in the last two days of May to finish in the top 10. Now when I am paying attention and trying to stay in the top group it goes away. They really need to make sure all players are made aware of this feature if and when it returns. I'm not really a big fan of the winner take all format and didn't really understand the rationale behind this for a $250 prize.

This is a great promotion for the cash game players. Again, I haven't been paying attention so I have no idea whether or not they have been adding money.

you can't expect anyone to believe such serious accusations when you have so few posts and cannot post the pics yourself. One might suspect that you work for a competitor -- oops, what am i thinking -- what kind of nut would be afraid of competition from PPN?

Lets see the proof. Simply put up or shut up. I play(well, try to play) on PPN and would like to see what you are calling proof.

i actually sent an email asking for the pics but all i got was one pic which didn't show anything but some irrelevant chat.

the only specifice accusation was something about chip dumping. if i am not a third player on a chip dumping table i don't see why i should care. If they are dumping chips why wouldn't they be on a heads up table? the only concern i see with chip dumping is about money laundering, which i view as the site's concern, not mine, unless it results in being beat out of a rake race.

i don't think her post deserves any more attention and it is just as well that it was deleted. it belongs in the rigged thread, if anywhere, with all the other silly baseless posts (i'm just assuming, i've never read the thread).

although PPN has plenty of screwups there are only 3 things i have noticed which could arguably be considered the least bit improper: one is the accuracy of their rake points counts compared to the daily leaderboard list a record keeping disparity; the other is the distribution of the prize from a malfunctioning promotion event, which can objectively viewed differently by reasonable people -no big deal. the third is the existence of a house player, which i do not like but which is not necessarily improper.

It is possible that what she saw is the house player making weird or illogical plays. If the house player is not playing with his own money then don't be surprised if he makes unusual plays. this often looks suspicious. What i don't like about the house player is that i figure if anyone has the ability to cheat it would be him.

Anyone of you can give me your e-mail and I'll gladly e-mail you all of the chipdumps that I witnessed.

as i said, i did email you and you sent me a single pic. it is more accurate to say it was the lower left quadrant of a pic showing only some chat. As i also said, i have very little concern about chip dumping, why do you? If you have proof of chip dumping you should send it to PPN. I'm sure they would want to put an end to it.

chip dumping may be wrong but it is not fraud and i don't see why i should care. do you even play on the site? I suspect you of ulterior motives.

I imagine you would you feel differently if someone hacked your account and was chip dumping the funds. Or if your CC information was compromised and had been used to deposit and was then chip dumped. Ignoring it because it doesn't affect you directly is like ignoring the car thief who is stealing someone else's car.

That's just a general comment that probably doesn't apply here since I believe the poster was suggesting the site is somehow involved in this situation.

If there is one thing that is not in question, now nor has ever been or will be in the future it is the integrity of the Creator/Owner of PPN. One must always remember that Chuck is a processor for the industry and as such has at times had to ban players from using his services because of chip dumping, fraud, collusion, cheating etc. not just because it is wrong but also because by contract with the poker rooms he must ban a player at their request.

This has led to a few distractors who see him as the bad guy because they were banned from his processing sites which means the player cannot deposit on any poker room in his system. Effectively black listing him as again by contract that info is shared by all poker rooms. If a player will cheat at one room he will do it at others and we don't want him playing anywhere.

This has led to Chucks name and his companys being dragged through the mud on forums without the 1st piece of evidence by people he has pissed off. You can't please everyone, you can only try.

If someone has proof of chip dumping all that they have to do is send it to us. Our security team will review it and deal with it as required.
