Yup "refreshing the product" really worries me.

Glad I took my money straight off of there.

Funny, I just came over to party end of January 2013 from Stars. I was advised how soft the games were since the bwin merger. Indeed the games were great and I was fully prepared to just drop Stars entirely. I'm just happy I still have plenty of time to get back on Stars full time without losing my SN status.

CU Party.

if anything, artificially decreasing competition by segregating pools will more likely result in the fish concluding the games are rigged. when the games go back to normal they will conclude "Yup the site pulled me in by letting me win in the beginning". Many gamblers already have this kind of mind set regarding gambling sites, did your extensive research consider this? many question whether the players are even real or if they are house players. unless of course you are considering segregating the pools forever...

why can't you protect recreational players more simply by controlling predatory behavior. it is obsessive bumhunting which completely takes the fun away from the game. fish don't give a fk who they play with, but if they are getting chased by same 3-4 guys everywhere they go, they are gonna notice it. if you are gonna make such a controversial industry move by segregating pools, you might as well just ban all software that aid such predatory behavior. (table scanners, seating scripts, pm notifying services, sit out scum behavior etc.). That way at least the bumhunters will have to WORK their ASS off to get the tables, and even then they won't be able to get it every time like now. such a double standard, wtf is wrong with your management? can't even hire a few guys to keep sit out behavior under control, yet willing to make a controversial industry move. guaranteed controlling predatory behavior will yield far better results and for your ignorant management who don't have a clue, yes that means increased profits.

Just got this message on WPT poker when I opened the cashier screen.

"Sorry, we are now closed and no longer accepting new players, deposits or game play. If you have a real money account, your balance is accessible and you can withdraw. Thank you for your custom."

Edit - Also get the message when I try sit at tables. I guess WPT poker is shutdown or maybe I won too much?

Why has every SNG reg in the known universe decided to play tonight?

Anybody else confirm this WPT thing? Seems so strange they'd "close" down the site with no announcement or option to transfer the money to another site on the network. Clearly whoever they're sending this message to they want them to leave and not come back.

It's possibly country-specific: which country are you from?

WPT stopped paying affiliates shortly ago. Think WPT is being shut down to put 'Increased emphasis on the Party skin' only, post-merger

My last bank transfer cashout took 10 days to be approved. This included me sending an email to VIP support after 5 days - at which point I was told it would be approved within 24hrs. After 7 days and still not approval so I emailed again.....and then again after 9 days.

Once approved the funds arrived at my bank with 48hrs though.

Anyone having slow cashouts from Party to Neteller??...I'm thinking if Neteller cashouts are approved faster I'll cashout to Neteller and then bank transfer from them.

Do they let you cash out the points at 15¢/point or do they just steal all your points with no previous warning? It seems pretty harsh to shut down the whole thing with no warning when just one month ago they were saying current players would be allowed to keep playing for the "foreseeable future". Maybe that's why party keeps losing players, they're not very good at foreseeing the future.

if your cashout is pending for more than 2 days just go into the live chat and ask the support about it. it usually takes them about 2-3 hours to get the cashout approved.

Had a lot of bonuses pending that I couldn't clear and could only redeem the points for whatever cash amount I could buy.

I got the impression that a lot just moved to WPT to get under-the-table affiliate rakeback, so sad as it may be for those on WTP; it might well improve the quality of games in the long run for the rest of us

Differing rakeback %s for different players is particularly nefarious for SNG players and effectively allows those getting the most to exclude others from the games by being able to make +EV calls that other's can't.

Supposedly the 'final stage' of their no refocusing. Previous 'stages' were ending affiliate agreements with places like PokerStrategy, removing the highest stakes tables, fast-fold tables and player segregation. Apparently they also believe that BBJ tables attract regs which is why they removed them.

Wat?! There hasn't been an overlay this month! Is there a worldwide mega-event going on this Sunday that would warrant reducing the guarantee by $50,000, or is Party shooting itself in the foot yet again?

What Party should do with MTTs is to make the payouts less top-heavy just like PokerStars and most live tournaments. It does not make sense that 28% of the prize pool goes to only two players who will withdraw their big jackpot, while all the other players get too little in leftovers and go busto faster.
