Poker never has been and never will be anywhere near comparable to the casino games market share.

Yeah, but this is about overall market share on gambling market.

The question is what is the distribution of Party's profit over casion, betting and poker? Is poker just a rider to casion games?

Search for "party poker annual report" and you can find out (IIRC, it's about 20%).

It's a bit meh because they suck but 2 Romanians - johndercover and underc0ver_1 are softplaying/colluding or perhaps its 1 person on 2 accounts.

Just check there scope stats. They play every game together virtually including lots of qualifiers.

Not sure what they're trying to achieve by being so rubbish and actually naming themselves undercover lol but I thought i'd make people aware anyway.

I haven't bothered telling support because they'll do nothing...

IIRC, there was a bot on FTP that called himself "deepcomputer" (or very similar)

So i have exactly 20k points. I'm a bit undecided whether to buy a poker bonus of USD 3000 or just take 1500 cash. I really just want out of the site but i hate not maximizing value obviously. Also, there is the problem of having 5k points leftover if i do the bonus. What do you guys think? Advice please.

You really should email support. It may take them a while but they will take action eventually (multiple emails usually works). Also, ty for the heads up.

instant cash 15% rb
bonus 30% - but actually it's 25.38% getting to 6k with the leftovers then trading that for $300 instant cash ($3.3k for $13k raked)

so you only lose ~10% value by leaving now, maybe +EV if your next $3,000 rake paid is on a site with more traffic/fish. also if it's stars you can make an earlier start on a supernova run

supernova daily pace is almost exactly the same as palladium, ~$50 rake/day

Lol .... I saw this last night and figured it was due to the site being down for maintenance
That is seriously brutal
Perhaps everyone but mega fish were segregated last night ...

That's my biggest problem with all of this..... You never know what formula or algorithm will be in place from one day to the next ....
.... We are all at the mercy of a site that feels it's perfectly fine to alter the complexion of the game without any notice whatsoever !

I still haven't played a single hand in two weeks because of this !

Re: ***OFFICIAL PartyPoker Thread***

party let me report to you how midstakes games run now.

when a table starts to break because a recreational player or whatever has left the regs all now insta sit out and leave the table. They do this because they have no idea whether or not the table is visible in the lobby to other recreational players. It used to be that we had incentive to play against each other to keep a game going that might encourage other players to join us. But now every table insta breaks and the regs go and open new tables and wait for others to join.

And if a HU game gets started and one or two other regs sit the table tends to break as well because we have no idea if that table with an open seat or two is visible to recreational players.

there is no longer any incentive for regs to play each other to keep games going or to start new games. Because we have no idea if those games are actually open to the public. I saw more sitting out, table jumping, seat jumping, and game breaking today than I have ever seen on Party before. And that is saying something because it's always been bad.

But you know what the worst part about all of this? I had to join in. I'm not going to be the only reg battling shorthanded against other regs while the good seats at new tables get taken. So I had to keep shutting down tables and opening up new ones to.

I used to game select a little, but most of the time when a game broke I'd try to keep it going for a little while unless I had 12-16 games going. but now I just shut it down and look for a new table.

If this is the kind of site that you think will be better for recreational players then by all means keep it going. But I can tell you that they are going to be in for a rude awakening when they get thrown to the sharks eventually.

Extensive research shows that new and inexperienced players enjoy the game more and continue playing for longer if in the early stages their preflop shoves and chased gutshots win more often.

ALL tables are visible to losing players. It's just that sometimes ehen a tables consists of several losing players it get's hidden.

Re: ***OFFICIAL PartyPoker Thread***

Just to confirm - if i buy the 3k poker bonus i have 180 days to do it right regardless of losing my vip status during the clearance? So i could in fact just clear it very slowly and play at another site in the meantime?

I withdrew 2,5k last 9 days ago. The status of the cashout has been «precessed» since 8 days ago but I still have not received $$. Is this normal? Is it bank delay or Party delay? I withdrew to Visa.

Segregating full ring games was like the most retarded idea ever unless they wanted to completely kill the game. There were like 10 tables max at each strakes on nl100/nl200 now there is like max 5-6 which makes it impossible to grind. There isn't enough liquidity at full ring games to do the segregation!!!!

Poker Revenue Down 17 Percent At bwin.party

Quote:
Most other key performance indicators (KPIs) also fell including active player days (down 23 percent), daily average players (dropping 23 percent) and new player sign ups (a fall of 46 percent). Only the yield per active poker player day was up seeing seven percent increase.
The bottom 4-5 paragraphs seem to suggest that all these recent affiliate, segregation, etc changes are making things worse:

Quote:
While this is reflected in the 7% uplift in player yields, the net effect was a 17% decline in average net daily revenue, a trend we are determined to reverse.
and then there is:
Quote:
Other steps included the removal of badbeat jackpot tables that tended to appeal to more experienced player

... and they haven't even felt the full brunt of all the regulars waiting to clear points/bonuses before leaving?

that is helpful to know but I maintain two things towards my point:

1) that was never explained by Party so nobody has any clue. (hell none of this has been addressed or explained by Party)

2) Because you have to try and catch tables before they get hidden you need to spend more time lobby scanning and searching for new tables with recreational players which makes you less likely to continue to battle regs to keep a breaking game going. I spend probably 30% of my session energy yesterday searching for games. Normally I'd spend maybe 10%. That difference is me battling to keep games going or playing regs HU, or quitting games and watching for new tables to open. Those are hands I didn't play that Party didn't rake.
