I am 100% AGAINST the segregation, but it's not as bad as some people on here are making it out to be.

If anyone has played the cash games since segregation you can see there are still fish playing, in some cases HUGE fish. Now, we don't know how the segregation works (and I doubt Party will ever tell us the exact specifics) but it's looks like many long time loosing players are still visible to everyone.

I think segregation has potential to actually create more "problem gamblers"

Imagine Fish A deposits for the first time ever. He knows a bit about poker but is still a fish. He gets put into the soft group. He goes on a average run of cards or maybe slightly good run. Now, under no segregation playing with sharks he would get crushed, loose his deposit super fast, probably think that Party is rigged and maybe never return to poker again. However with segregation (and his average to slightly good run of cards) he maybe wins a little, maybe slowly goes broke. BUT he doesn't think its so rigged, which will make him more likely to redeposit....again and again.

After a few deposits (or however party's segregation works) party moves him to the "segregated" group and all the sharks have access to a "problem gambler"

Honestly, I think if people want to complain to whatever authority that governs Party Poker then using the argument that Party is baiting new bad players by providing them with an easier experience at first in which they are more likely to win is the only argument you have.

Add me to the list of rigged RNG theorists, 29k below ev at 3/6 5/10 this year, I literally lose every allin if my oppenent has >1% equity.

Yeah that's a good point - akin to computer game commercials and the "game experience may change during online play" small-print.

rambo00007 is my alias on pokertracker, yea let me know how it goes. I don't think it should matter which game you play unless the point distribution is different than the holdem games which i don't think is the case but i could be wrong

I'm also bellow EV on Party this year. Nothing astronomical but a healthy dose of bad variance. I'm inlined to think we are getting ahead of ourelves thinking their RNG is rigged. But then again I've come to understand I hardly trust anyone in this business.

Is NLHE segregation driving regs to other formats?
Anyone noticed any increases in PLO, Limit, SNG or MTT traffic? (I'm the last to notice these things)
I'm wholly against segregation and the way Party has handled it, but I'm excited at the prospect that it might encourage more NL players to take up PLO.

Hey guys,

Is there anyway for the replayer to show the end result of the hand without playing it?

Also how does Party show people's current hand e.g. Queens with a3578 midhand while in real $ tournies? Crazy! Isn't that part of a players (basic) skill and shouldn't be told?

Hi,

To clarify, this test only applies to NLHE 6/9 seated cash games. The test does NOT apply to PLO cash games, sit n go’s, FastForward poker or heads up cash games.

Thanks

Will you let people know next time you run a "test"?

lol @ still calling it a "test". this doesn't really affect me since i play husngs, but i still think its total bull****, unethical and unfair for cash game regs.

He was probably trying to copy and paste you the:

"We are continually looking for ways to balance our poker room ecology. As we have said before, we are testing various features to make poker a more fun and entertaining game for both new and inexperienced players. Our extensive research shows that new and inexperienced players enjoy the game more and continue playing for longer if in the early stages they play with players of a similar ability, this includes, but is not limited to our welcome lounges. These players are free to play on any table they chose."

So bottom line, we can't expect the big update before June since you're ignoring my questions party_rep?

i asked for all my hands from today. will have someone import them to make sure
got this handled. one hand was corrupted and hem read it as if the hand had $20+ rake

so now hem and partypoints match again for the year

Does anyone know if the 3k bonus is still going to be available for 20000 PP after April fools? Have they announced anywhere what will the bonuses be after that date?

Party already lost the Palladium Elites with their $20,000+ rake/quarter to PokerStars, so they won't mess around with the mediocre 30% rakeback to lose all the remaining Palladium players. Otherwise, all they will have left are recreational players raking $600/quarter and being segregated into unwinnable pools.

There have been no announcements about bonuses after April that i'm aware of. Who knows what they will do next.

There are none so blind as those who will not see.
