If it's as simple as a game disappears when a fish sits so that the regs who started the table get to play, but newcomers don't it's not as bad.

However, if there are tables that never appear to so called winning regs, then it is completely unacceptable

^Ya, it will be interesting to see what kind of system they use.

On this note, we have been hearing excuses that PP won't be making any major changes to their software due to the new system being rolled out sometime soon...but they do this!!!! cmon now

I'd think if it works like this the 6max lobby will start to look like the HU lobby, tons of people waiting on empty tables hoping for a fish to sit but not willing to play any regs.

Never thought of that...ya, it seems really bad. Not sure what the best way to prevent tables from instabreaking is.

I've supported Party through a lot of changes and not tried to make a stink about the lost of Elite etc. But this is just a poorly thought out change unless the only people it's affecting are sitout and bumhunting players. If party is able to target bumhunters (guys that refuse to start tables with regs or play when a fish sits out) and penalize them by showing them a restricted lobby I understand the change, but disagree with the method.

I'd prefer to see bumhunters and sitout scum punished in other ways, or Party consider shifting to an all FastForward format for all cash tables.

However if this change effects all winnings players regardless of their in game ethics it's pretty gross and really disappointing that they would do this behind our backs. Sure every company has to look out for their bottom line, but this is one step away from rigging the deck so that players just pass money back and forth while they clean up in rake.

We trust poker sites with our action because we believe that our money is as good as anyone's on the site. That if we have the scratch to sit down we should have a fair game with anyone on the site. But if certain players see different lobbies then we've changed the fairness of the game.

I hate to become one of those "I'll take my roll elsewhere" guys, because it's such a cliched ultimatum. But if I find that this is impacting me I'll probably just start playing other sites as well as occasionally on Party. Eventually they'll either change this setup, my account will get downgraded from winning player status, or I'll just only play on party when I can get a good seat. And I'll become the exact kind of player they hate. The guy that barely rakes anything, tries to take the fishes money, and isn't loyal to a site. That would be a shame, because I actually really like Party.

this and nothing else! no wonder pokerstars is by far the #1 in business.

Party_rep, if this doesn't change soon a lot of your reg base will HAVE to move because they will make more money elsewhere. The way you've set things up in the last couple month makes it so regulars just can't make as much money on your site as others. (capping rakeback to 30% which is far below industry standard and segregating player pools.)

If you look at your stats for who is generating more rake, I'm sure the multi-tabling regs are far outweighing the random curious gambler who throws $100 onto your site every few weeks to one table, even if the regs are outnumbered by 10-20 times.

Do the right thing for everyone and think about people who call your site their poker home, not just people who pop in for a visit every once in awhile.

After waking up to all this news the first thing that came to mind was, "Wow where am I going to play now?" I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.

I've easily raked six figures on your site, but that was because of the player base.

It's so hard for any regular not to be angered by this. I mean you're just ****ting all over our bottom lines and doing it in the most underhanded way possible.

Earlier in the thread this was posted about without any certainty and your site doesn't even acknowledge it? How can you lie and harm people who have chosen your brand and justify it???

This news is highly disconcerting to say the least.

Stars treats regs reasonably well, has most the market and prints money. Party with their decreasing market share decides to go in the opposite direction.

Worse than that, they sneak in the changes without an announcement. How can they not see this makes the change so much worse? Trust is broken and how can we trust our money on a site we can't trust?

Didnt Party used to have "beginner" tables, where only accounts that were no more than 1 month old (or 3 months or whatever) could play?

Alejandro: I've seen a lot of people talking about party segregating the player pool based on how much they win or lose. Is this true?

Alejandro: ok
Alejandro: but how do you determine which players go into each player pool?
Alejandro: how do you determine who has access to the easy tables and who is forced to play on tough tables?
Nikolay: For more information I will have to escalate the matter too
Alejandro: so I will receive an e-mail about that too?
Nikolay: Yes once we have more information on the matter

I'm looking forward to that e-mail. They'll probably just re-paste the same bull**** they are pasting to anyone who asks about this.

This step is aiming to hurt winning players first of all, if you want to prevent newbies from loosing their deposits quickly. Why not advise them (for instance by pop-up window anytime they login, to play first at the beginners table) and so on.

BECAUSE Party gives a sh** about the new and inexperienced players and honestly this stunt has nothing to do with new and inexperienced players! This is going only against the regs and into Partys' pockets!

The Welcome Lounge existed way before implementing this feature exactly for the purpose so new players could likely be with equal skilled players at their tables.

I would have understood if Party said "ok we increased the Welcome Lounge time to 3 months" or something like this. But again, don't let yourself get fooled by marketing blabla, this move has nothing to do with protecting the little vulnerable losing player.

is this for ****ing real? lol @ needing extensive research to know that...if they didn't spend all their resources researching to come up with that mind blowing fact maybe they could run a half decent software with no glitches.

seriously, is this pretty much rigging the site?

ps: you are allowed to change ur username once a month...so do we go in the fish pile if we change our username every month? also, are you allowed to close your account, and re open new ones whenever we feel like it? if not, max exodus of rake bringing regs forthcoming...and really hope these ****ers go bankrupt.

+1

this is so unethical and shady the more you think about it. i can't believe they actually implemented this "under the table" without any announcements of it what so ever. they prob hoping that no one will notice anything fishy lol. like others said, next step for party is to rig the RNG to favor the losing players...who knows if it has already been implemented or not to some degree. are they doing this segregation only for lower stakes?. i am assuming it will be harder for them to it in higher games since player pool is already pretty small.
