With the terrible tournament changes, a friend suggested that I switch from PartyPoker to PokerStars with over $100,000 rewards for Supernova Elite (57%-63% rakeback). What was the total rakeback last year for Palladium (or Palladium Elite) members, including all the extra promotions such as Snowball, Card Rush, Gladiator and bonus points? For example, if one paid a total of $25,000 rake in 2010, would the total value of rewards received be around $10K or 40% rakeback?

Yes it's very possible:

Now this assumes you never get any extra bonuses or receive any money from promos, which is far from the case. Even the play less win more promo this month is good for 26.3% additional rakeback at level 6 and 20.9% at level 5.

Other promos like the Gladiator where you get a 10k WPT Package is worth up to 44.4% effective additional rakeback, and the December VIP Gift Accumulator was worth up to 46.% additional rakeback.

Also if you have never had an account at Party you can look into finding an affiliate with attractive extras like rake races to eek out even more rake-back.

remember that to get supernova elite on stars you need to rake over 200k. if you rake 200k on party you will make bigger % than on stars.

you can also argue about stars having more games(and if they are better or worse than party) and lower rake which all obviously add up so put everything on paper and choose your site

in europe some countries(finland for example) dont tax winnings if the site is registered/licensed inside the EEA (european economic area).

stars is licensed on isle of man (outside the EEA) while party is gibraltar (inside the EEA)

i am guessing he is from one of these countries

Probably a stupid question but is there a way to change the way the stakes are sorted? It used to be high down to low but it's changed to the other way round since the update and I don't like it as much.

I am completing the "Play Less Win More" Promo at Level 4 and a problem has occured.

On Sunday 20th March, I was tryin to complete Target 4, and I made sure I quit the tables at 2359hours EDT. In the morning I checked to see the Target had cleared - Monday 21st march 0132.

I immediately emailed to tell them I had completed the it on Sunday, but it registered as Prize awarded on Monday, they replied saying it was Ok, and any points I earned on Monday would count to Target 5.

So I earned points through the day, but it never updated.

I emailed them again, and was NOW told that 166 points were earned on upto Sunday (180 points required) and the remaining points were earned between

00:00:17 and 00:00:46, yes you read correctly, I earned 14 points playing small stakes Omaha in 29 SECONDS.

They offered $4 as compensation.

HOWEVER, this now means I do not have enough days to complete promotion, and lose out on Target 15, the largest prize which requires 1 point and is $35.

Please can you look into this Party_Rep.

And without a doubt, this was a very scummy promotion used to catch players out!

Well sucks ldo, trying to convince support with some sweet emails is your best shot i guess.. (Did u really manage to get exactly 180 points at 2359? If you did, you should def get some prize from that.)

Didn't pay too much attention to points today, but i have feeling that those points didn't count towards clearing bonus, anyone having same problem? (Not that it really matters, was just curious)

Update seems nice imo, elite was reduced to 40k now and waiting lists seems to work better. On the other hand spamming tables with tournament invites is really annoying.

No, I had earned more. Basically, I spent a few days earning the points target.
But quit at 2359 wary of the time. They said, I earned 166 points upto Sunday 2359 and the target wes completed by me earning points between 00:00:17 and 00:00:46, which is amazing for anyone to do

Tried emailing but they say nothing is wrong on their system, I explained points are earned whilst at the tables, but that logic doesnt apply for some reason

Well, if the points are awarded based on time then you didn't complete the target on sunday? Ofc it sucks, but in that case party is right imo.

No, they are awarded as you are at the tables. Basically it impossible for me to earn 14 points in 29seconds at PLO50, I normally get about 35points an hour 4-6 tabling.

They emailed me, saying i had earned the remaining points for the target, 14 in this case, in 29 seconds, which is obviously impossible.

What really takes the pis* is that I emailed on Monday morning if I was still ok, and was told I was, then earnt enough points to complete the next target only to be told I wasnt going to receive the bonus.

Maybe you didn't leave the tables in time though. Points were only awarded after leaving a table before todays update, which could be why they say you earned those points in such a short amount of time.

Yeah, that's what I thought earlier but wasn't sure if that was still the case.

Yes got a "FINAL DECISION" from Party about this, oh well f em, i've paid them 20k rake over the years, granted I've reduced my play recently but still, for the sake of 29 seconds, they lose a customer, good luck to them

before the update points were awarded when you close a table. so even if you played the hands before midnight but closed the table 1 minute past it they wont count towards your goal (or will but you will lose a day like in your case)

i would be pretty disappointed if party didnt give you the last goal in a bonus or something since this promo was a bit scammy. keep emailing them

Unfortunately, not yet. I'm hoping they do it soon before I have to switch to another site with beatable SNG rake.

Yes. So if I decide against Supernova Elite and go for Palladium Elite instead at 40K points per quarter, it would take me a couple of years to accumulate $150,000 in rake or 300K points. I would then have to play another 75K points within 6 months to clear the $75K. At that point, I would be so sick of poker that I would just want to cash out my remaining points and quit poker. I would play another 25K points so that I will have 100K points to redeem for the $15,000 cash reward. So my effective rakeback will be 45% (total of $90,000 cash for 400K points or $200,000 rake ).

Another change I noticed is that the PartyCashier PrePaid MasterCard is now called GoPlay MasterCard in the Cashier tab.
