Same here, Prize Level 5 is too difficult for many Palladium players like me, so I'll just play normally and go with Level 4 for only $125 cash. This is one of the most complicated promotions yet, so the disadvantage is that recreational fish may not bother opting in.

I sure hope so!
That combined with the Bwin merge would make it possible for me to 16 table in sets. At moment that is only possible at Stars and tilt.

Please party remove DoN also!

Why are the promos so complicated? I can't even be arsed to read through the levels or figure out which is best for me, probably worthless anyway and the 10% rakeback or whatever you get if you bust your ass playing a lot might be easily compensated by playing 10% less and being 10% more focused and less tilted trying to figure out your points and levels and what not.

you do realize the promo is named "play less, win more" this month, right?

It's not hard to figure out, just earn that many points in the month and keep in mind you can only "clear" one level/day, so towards the end of the month make sure you play almost daily to clear the easy point targets.

Yeah, this is what I decided to do as level 5 was just going to be too hard to attain unless I played way more than usual, with no days off, and in presumably very reg-infested games (although today hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be...).

It does seem overly complicated to me too, but not just that; it seems to be trying to "trick" you into taking on something that looks good/easy until you read the small print (not sure if that's the intention, but it does seem/feel like that...). Usually Party's promotions are pretty straightforward compared to this.

I don't think it's that complicated - it says up front how many points you need to get everything from a level. And then whatever level you pick, the bonuses come faster as you get closer to that target.

They seem to allow you to increase from the second level also, which will probably mean most casual players will not get trapped.

All in all, though, it is not one of their better promos IMO. (I vote for Million-Dollar Card, but Snowball and Card Rush are okay too...)

I will be getting a lot fewer points from PP from now on anyway, after their terrible tournament changes.

Really? I think the million dollar one is the absolute worst. Every five hands you win $3 and if you're lucky, $10.

the race is what makes the million dollar hand promo one of the best

and this months promo is fairly simple and even level 5 is 20% rakeback alone. dont know why people are complaining. usually these promos are only 5-10% rakeback

Am I reading this right you don't have to opt in until end of the month and you get it all credited at once? I'm gonna go for top level but any reason for me not to just play a bunch then on the 30th opt in and get my 3k if I played enough for top level or the lesser level if I haven't played enough?

Also wtf is the thing you can only clear 1/day?

i think you are reading it correctly though I would keep good records of your play if you do it that way. also keep in mind that you would only have to clear the first 12-13 goals of level 6 and you would have made more than you could make in level 5 total. and you should know pretty before half way through the month if you can do the level 6 since it gets so much easier to clear the goals after that point

about the clear 1/day. party used to make confusing promos where the promos looked much better at first look but there was always some catches in the terms&conditions. even now when it is 2011 people still dont read them. i am hoping party isnt going back to the confusing promos thing but this one looks a bit like what they did before

i think some might not read the t&c and play through their total goal not realizing the 1/day rule and then fail the make the bigger payouts at the end since they have run out of days and party wins. i really hope this wasnt their motivation though

personal experience I suppose. One of them I raked $2200 and got $50 from that garbage promotion. Also, what race? Rake race? I didnt get anything for that amount of rake.

Pff, I officially hate this promo. Yesterday I finished my session and saw that i got ~700 points so I thought i can easily rake the first requirements. Sooo, proceed to tables, feel totally exhausted and tired, lose 3k to some idiots, got only 70 points before I had to close tables, went bed to cry. Lol.

Yep, about same time as you made this post too... Was OK up to then though and has been OK since (I switched connections and thought it was my cable connection playing up).

Thankfully I only had 2 tournaments going at that point. They both d/ced for about 4 minutes right on the bubble. I was the only guy at the table to lose connection so Party is trying to blame my connection. How can I prove to these guys that their client is dodgy? Can I traceroute something if it happens again?

I haven't played much in the past 2 months, but I remember late last year you'd occasionally lose connection to like half of the tables you had open. Is that still happening?

Just to see if anyone else had the same problem, I got my disconnections at approximately 18:05.

What don't you like about them? I haven't had time to figure out how to adjust to the numerous tournament changes.

hmm interesting idea, here is my best idea if that happens again: open the command prompt (run "cmd") and type 'ping google.com -t'

That will ping google over and over again and show your connection, at least to google, is fine. Then take a screen shot showing party tables disconnected while google is pinging just fine.

I've never had this and nobody has reported it for a long, long time.
