With things like this promotion debacle happening how are we supposed to be able to trust you when you say that from 5th October your team will be capable of catching bots?

You have a team that created a promo that would leave the majority of players worse off if they opted in. Players rightly complained. 24 hours later we get an updated promo that shows your team completely misunderstood the issue and now we're waiting for their third attempt at getting it right.

Yet on the other side of the office we're supposed to believe that you have a team that from the 5th of October is capable of catching bots all on their own (despite failing at doing this for several years)? Sorry but I don't, and neither should anyone else, have any confidence in your ability to adequately police your own games.

Until you reach a point in time where you are able to prove that you can police your own games, on your own and without help from the players you shouldn't even be considering making changes like the ones currently planned for next week let alone implementing them.

I'm confused the 900 points for 30 days is paid in GBP? And is $2.5k less than the original?

Damn this is depressing, Party usually figures it out and gets it right in the end, I thought for sure they would this time.

I guess I'm not raking $13.5k for Party in October, why bother when I can rake $13.5k and get over $4k back on a standard rake deal elsewhere - not a special promotion.

Me too. And there must be a lot of players that dont' read 2+2 and are just wow a nice promo let's play way more than I usually do. Oc I expected that this promo was just like the other gladiators where the bonus in on top of that strd rewards program.

You have to play a full 30 days if you want to even hope to make like 1% more than buying cash right off the store. The funniest part is the promotion only runs for 29 days:

3rd till 31st is 29 days + nov 1 = 30 days

I have some questions about the screen name changes coming 5th October:

* Is there a limited timeframe for when we have to change our screen name or is everbody credited with a screen name change that they can use whenever they want? Like maybe a year or two from now?

* Are people still allowed to steal old screen names or is there something in place to prevent this?

* Can we change our avatar also? I looked in the client and it looks like we can change it whenever we want now, but I remember not so long ago we couldn't change avatar anymore.

I used to just read this forum, but I had to register to say here that it´s unbelievable...

a) The promotion team need a third try to understand that what they designed is not a promotion or maybe they should call the promotion "A typical month" or something like this.

b) I understand and I respect 100% to the PPrepresentator, but I couldnt believe what I was reading, I mean if the promotion went oficial and they needed players feedback to understand what they were doing that means someone in PP is not doing his work at all.

c) I hope everything is just 2 mistakes in a row because the worst thing you can do when you have a business is treat to your customers like fools.

Only way to make this right is to make the Gladiator what it was in December and February.

Everyone expected certain things from this promo, most received the email that "the gladiator is back". No, its not, not even close. This isnt the gladiator, or at least what ppl have come to expect. I was planning to rake for top prize, its not worth playing so much anymore. Id prefer NOT to take my gameplay to another site for the month. PartyPoker, please get your **** together and fix this asap.

Agreed. Although, id prefer December's Gladiator over February's. 1500pts/day for 30days straight is slightly unmanagable for most grinders.

There is another issue with the promotion that hopefully Colette can clarify. If we aim for so 400 points for 30 days, thats 12000 points. But what if for example, on 10 of the days we play more like 600 points. Then on Nov 3rd we have amassed a total of 14000 points. I believe with the wording of the promotion all 14000 points get taken to be redeemed for the prize instead of just the 400x30. Can you clarify that is not the case Colette?

Only 12K points will be deducted in your scenario:

What if you use those points you have earned before they're deducted in November?

And yeah, this promotion should not deduct points. Make prizes worse if you want to instead.

All - having discussed this issue in depth with the promotional team and management - the decision has been made to revert to our previous promotion mechanic for the current run of the Gladiator
To clarify - points will NOT be redeemed
All cash prizes will be paid on the 2nd November as per the promo dates

We apologize for the misunderstanding and please rest assured player feedback is greatly valued and we will always try to understand and resolve any issue promptly

We hope this change will appease many of you and we hope you will support the promotion and look forward to seeing at the tables

Well played. Although it took a little while, at least correction was made before promotion would have started and damage would have been done.

Maybe next time just ask promotional team to take a calculator with them when they decide to make a promotion that takes something away, so that promotion will not end up as worse than basic alternative

Fantastic! It's commendable that Party had the courage to admit they had made an error here and changed it.

Also, once again, absolutely superb work from Colette, the peoples champion. Reading between the lines I get the feeling you thought this was as mental as the rest of us did, but obviously cannot say as much.
