***Official June 1st thread***
Hai guise, It's June first and so far the sky has not fallen. You can put you worries, concerns, hurrah's, and sigh's of relief(?) in here. Any other questions, happenings, etc are welcome.

Re: ***Official June 1st thread***
I was able to make a successful deposit via a card that I was able to use before June first That's what I got to report.
Remember, try not to out processors and help old ladies cross the street!
Oh, and also, Lee Russo and the PPA came to the WA state supreme court to challenge the silly law they have. I thought it went well. You should check it out if you have some time. Phil Gordon shows his long legs in it as well. http://www.tvw.org/media/mediaplayer...7713623&bhcp=1

Well I just received this email.... have anybody else
Our records show that you may have used your NetSpend Visa® Prepaid Debit Card for internet gambling transactions in the past.
Beginning May 31, 2010, MasterCard and Visa will begin complying with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act by blocking all online gambling transactions attempted by U.S. cardholders. This means you will not be able to use your NetSpend card or account for internet based gambling transactions. Internet gambling transactions will be automatically declined to comply with these federal regulations. NetSpend has no control over this change.

It seems like an extremely bad idea to "test out" your ability to deposit right now. The last thing they need is a bunch of unnecessary deposits.
Also, this thread has been done before. Countless times.

Re: ***Official June 1st thread***
Would be nice if representatives from sites that accept U.S players would come here and give their insight on how some things may operate differently now, if any.
my assumption is that it'll just become slightly harder to deposit now, and I'm sure lots of banks/processors/whatever already were complying with the law prior to the deadline, it's just some of them saw it as a business opportunity(a pre-paid/reloadable card provider comes to mind) to allow internet gambling transactions up until the deadline which they would then be required to follow.

Thank you,

I don't think being in control of your money means what they think it means imo

Re: ***Official June 1st thread***
News blurbs about the sites approach are in the legislative forum - i.e. Stars will continue business as usual (and, they just launched the US version of the Poker School, however - they left the short stacking strats off - unless I missed a course)

Made a echeck deposit. Can someone tell me if this was always in the cashier email for Stars? I seem to remember it saying something less obvious than Pstars.

**IMPORTANT - This transaction will appear on your bank statement as PStars (or an abbreviated version)
