I can't use the sportsbook unless I am logged into the poker client? That's awful.

Nice post Kahn...do you have any idea when it is beneficial to switch to Elite benefits as opposed to 27% RB? Hands per day? at certain stake?

Thanks...

Is anyone here running Mac OSX and Virtualbox?

I haven't been able to login for the last 3 weeks or so. On the signin screen, I can type my username/password, but the actual submit/login button does nothing when I click it or press Enter.

I tried rebooting the virtual machine, and also completely uninstalling and reinstalling BCP to see if it helped.

UGHH.

does your internet work in the virtual machine?

I hear that Parallels and VMware both work for emulating Windows. I'm sure there are other programs as well.

Presumably, VirtualBox would work just fine to emulate Windows as well, as it is along the same lines as VMWare and Parallels (a VM emulation software). However, I have never tried Windows from a Mac box, as I've never used a Mac box. Have you tried setting up the VM again through VirtualBox, z28? Or, even unintalling/reinstalling VirtualBox? A bummer, I know, but maybe worth a shot.

Parallels 8 or 9 runs Windows way better on a Mac than VirtualBox. Its support for other OSes isn't nearly as polished, so I keep VBox around for Linux VMs and such. But for Windows on a beefy Mac, it's almost a native experience -- they've gone out of their way to make Windows work seamlessly with Mac. I'm running Win7 and Win8 VMs in Parallels 9 on my MBP and it's virtually indistinguishable from native performance. Really slick. Granted I have a quad core i7, 16GB RAM, and the 512SSD in my MBP Retina, so that helps.

To answer the related question though, I've not tried installing Windows poker clients or tracking software yet as my poker rig is my Windows desktop and I've not had to play poker while mobile since getting the MBP. But no reason why it shouldn't work about as well as all the ofther Windows software I've tried.

Are there many eu players playing on black chip? Was thinking about making a significant deposit tonight. If anyone could send me a PM and let me know how the site is overall - software / payouts / security / action (specifically hu) etc. I would be extremely grateful.

You have peaked my curiosity so I must ask: Are you in Europe? Great Britain? I'm not sure what to make of your "location." My question is if you are in Europe, why on earth would you want to play on this site instead of the obvious alternatives you have? If you're not in Europe (or outside the U.S.) we never had this conversation.

i won a seat in the Beast LSOP Panama. however, I can not go, even if i win a seat. is it possible to:
1) accept the cash value of the package and not have to go?
2) sell/transfer the package to someone else (on 2+2)?
3) "unregister" from the tournament and use the registration fee on another tournament where I can actually enjoy the benefits of winning?

You'll be able to do #2 if you are market place approved on here. You can also contact support or a rep on here and they can help you out if your fortunate enough to win a package.

I am from the UK, but I live in mainland Europe. I already play on a lot of the ROW sites, but I'm also interested in black chip because the HU lobby looks like it has decent liquidity.

I'm just unsure of the speed/ security of cash outs for EU people really.

Well, for Canada, they pay out in about 2-3 business days via Skrill so I would assume you're just fine even if you are across the pond.

I've actually been wondering about this for quite some time but keep forgetting to ask: On the "my details" page what does does overall ring game rank mean? Mine is at 3.00 but I have no idea what this stands for.

Thanks, guys...
11-11-2013 , 05:17 PM
Nobody knows?

Additionally - Why do so many players refuse to play anything but the short stacked tables? I'm basically confined to playing nothing but NL1 because nobody will play NL2. Why the fetish with the short stacks?

I have no idea what it means either, but mine says "shark" instead of a number. I also checked another site and it has a number...

I assume it is some sort of ranking system that isn't used for anything.

I have the LSOP Panama Package for Sale, if anyone is interested.

LSOP Millions Main Event buy-in ($750+100)
6-night hotel accommodation (double occupancy) @ Hard Rock Megapolis Panama (5 Star Hotel)*
Breakfast
$20 Daily credit to spend in the Hotel Bar
24/7 VIP Support Line during the Event
Gift Bag

Getting married that weekend, can't make it. Have gotten a couple of lowball inquiries from other players on Black Chip Poker. I will just give it to my brother as a gift if I keep getting lowballed. I'm looking for $1400.
11-13-2013 , 08:41 PM
How much is it "valued" for?
11-13-2013 , 10:10 PM
It's valued for $2500, but $1750 now that they sent me $750 for travel expenses.

I'll sell the $1750 for $1250. I initially said $1400, but I see all over the internet that these are selling for about $1250.

Just another example of players getting the shaft on BCP. Even when you win... you get less.

How is he getting shafted by BCP? They sent him cash and the difference makes up the 'value' of the package. He got exactly what he was playing for in terms of dollar value. Why he played a satellite to win a ticket during his wedding I don't know. If he knew of the wedding date ahead of time, then he's a moron. If it got planned after he won then that's not BCP's fault. So how exactly did the site 'shaft' this guy?
