Hey, I made a deposit on BCP last year, then they switched networks and offer no Mac support. So now my money just sits there because I am unable to play until the NEW software is ready. My question is, is my money safe? Since I can't play right now, will it remain in my account for the time being??? LOL

I hope so.

You can play with parallels or vmware. Older versions are pretty cheap even on Ebay

I tried both Crossover and Winebottle. Neither worked.
I don't have a windows disc. I'd hate to go that route again.
Since, from what I heard about the software being so bad I will just wait it out.

Is the software Merge quality? Full Tilt? Pokerstars? No, it is not. There are however thousands of us playing on the daily. Making money. It's not the worst software I've ever used. Not by a long shot.

Keep in mind that support threads are full of people with problems. Rarely do people come to these threads to say "Hey, I'm doing just fine over here. I don't really have any issues and I rake in 10k a month. Thanks for providing the poker site!"

It's pretty bad. What's frustrating is a lot of what's wrong seem like simple fixes. Sound notification, bigger cards, bigger font, , preferred seat, etc.

Thanks, this makes me feel a little better. The fact that I wasn't able to log in and create a new account since the move made me feel worried about where my money is being held. I can't even login via the website to check my balance which is kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

I understand completely, and I can't wait to get back on BCP and play. I think it's the best site out there right now for US players, just can't believe the mac version wasn't a top priority. I'm sure it cut a huge chunk of traffic to the site.

i actually don't mind the software that much. looking forward to the upgrade, and some things are annoying, but i don't think it's that bad. maybe i just completely forgot how awesome FT was...

1 - Any chance that WPN will write tournament summaries to disc in the future?

2 - I just played some hands for the first time to collect some hands for our developers and noticed that WPN blatantly cloned one of my decks. Can you find out why this was done without asking my permission? This is my 13.5 AT deck that I made for FTP/Stars and sold on Tiltbuster as well as my own site from '07 - '10.

Fozzy ive sent some mtt and stt hands to your dev team. Fwiw i use your deck thanks for that. I probably would not have even been able to put up with their other decks.

You use them on WPN? Someone else must have converted them as I have never created or converted decks for WPN. I don't mind people using my old FTP/Stars decks and converting them to other networks but I was shocked to see that BCP or WPN did it on their own without my permission or offering any form of compensation for my intellectual property.

Does BCP work with Pokertracker then since it doesn't work with HEM?

Another question I have. I know sportsbooks like 5dimes and bookmaker are on the Winning Poker Network. I assume you cannot use Pokertracker with them correct? I also assume everyone who plays on WPN is playing on BCP or ACR or True Poker because there is rakeback and 5dimes and bookmaker sportsbook doesn't offer rakeback?

I don't see a Winning/WPN Mods thread in the software forum but it looks like most of their images (except the cards themselves) are easily accessed in the client. C:\BlackChipPoker\images

I personally don't make graphic mods for the public anymore as it doesn't pay well enough.

I used to be one of the most popular (not sure about best) but I am way out of practice with photoshop and creating installers so it is definitely not worth my time now. When I am not working for HM now I am trying to stay off the computer (and get out of the house into the real world) so I don't want to spend my off time on the PC.

There are lots of great stars/ftp modders out there that could make mods for BCP if you started a software thread or pm'd/email'd them your request. It looks like it should be fairly simple to mod the chips and tables but I didn't see where/if the cards were stored locally.
