It is kind of hilarious to compare ACR with PokerStars.

Because ACR is running on antiquated software.

As 39suited pointed out, comparing ACR to Stars is apples to oranges. Not even in the same class.

I just don't understand why ACR can't get their **** together. The room has been on WPN since 2011. At this point, you'd think they've made enough rake to:

A) Hire competent programmers
B) Purchase or write up to date software

Have some improvements been made since joining WPN? Yes, but, not nearly enough. We've been promised mobile games; and a Mac client for years. I'm not even mad about the lack of improvements in those areas. I'm frustrated with the lack or inability to FIX the current software. I quit playing MTT's and started grinding cash. Who wants to play for 4+ hours to have an MTT canceled and get your buy-in refunded? This happens way too often.

There is a Mac beta client for "hamsters", but it's so bugged it ain't funny. The biggest lack of ACR/WPN is the missing investment in better servers.

Not when it come to reliability of the software it isn't.

It still is, probably even more hilarious tbh. One has a well established software and is considered to be the top tier right now, while the other uses second or third tier software providers that treat trivial software improvements like rocket science.

I was kind of wondering about that as well. Probably time to upgrade the ole hamster wheel in those old Compaq ML370 G0's....

Both products are mature. The Business Analysts for stars obviously understands their clients better. But that does not mean WPN should be held to a different standard.

There is no reason why performance and quality can't be compared.

They actually have upgraded their servers. I saw some pictures of them in February actually. There could be many things causing playability problems that aren't related to the hardware running the games being antiquated (because it isn't).

I too wish those problems would be solved though. I also agree that the software development is holding them back as a company

Wow they really upgraded their servers eventually, only about three years too late? And their software still hasn't seen any significant improvement after their latest version was released. The Mac client is laughable and an insult given the many glitches.

I'm with you. I say resolve the playability issues and the rest will work itself out.

Maybe someone from Holdem Manager could help them figure it out. They went down once, for about an hour, and they were falling all over themselves apologizing to the players. The president of the company even made a personal apology. I didn't see the video but the players that watched it were very impressed.

Now THAT is customer service!

Hey could you tell me what issues the Mac client has because I was thinking of opening an account at ACR (If I'm even allowed to do so from Cyprus)?

I deposited on ACR with bitcoin via coinbase a few months ago. I'm now trying to withdraw with bitcoin, and in live chat I was told I need to make at least 2 deposits before "unlocking the BitCoin withdrawal option." Does anyone know if there's a better way to get my money off the site, since I'd rather not deposit again.

You might want to check out the deposit and withdrawal thread in the WPN sub forum.

Another question that fits in the far more frequented WPN sub forum.

from the last page or two of posts I'm seeing

1. Terrible software
2. Abysmal cashout times and you basically need to have bitcoin now to play online poker

Set me straight if i'm missing something :/

It's honestly awful. I just closed my account after an all day headache with them. Here's a quick summary:

Couldn't log into my account via their web portal despite entering the correct password. Get locked out and have to reset password. Password reset link brings me to a page that says "Password could not be reset at this time please request a new one." Get on support with them for 2+ hours and two different people before FINALLY getting a new password. Try to regenerate the password so it's not a random string, get a "You do not have sufficient privileges to view this page" when trying to reset password AFTER logging in. PLUS I couldn't even deposit anything due to the SAME error on their deposit page.

Oh and yeah their software and withdrawal times are ****. Don't touch them with a 15ft pole. Now I'll be desperately looking for ANY other software that you can use in the US.

Cool story, bruh.

I'll give you one thing, the software, is indeed awful. That's the state of online poker in the U.S. right now. 'Murica

WPN has some of the most reliable cashout's in the US market currently. If you use BTC its even faster...
