to be perfectly clear^^^^^^ i beleive strict security measures need to be in place. especially given the current state of affairs, in the online poker industry. No problem with a verification. I just want to know what the process is like, what will be required, how long will it take etc...

I mean, who cares? Do you really need to whine in chat about suckouts or berate bad players for sucking out?

If a recreational player decides to put a few bucks online to play poker after work and the profanity filter stops some ******* from calling her a ********** and causing her to quit its worth it.

fix the ****ing rematch glitch. It happens ALL THE TIME! It's literally the only good thing about playing HU matches at your site.

I was playing a freeroll on ACR earlier and my PT4 didn't even load up. Do I just need to change the settings or is pt4 even compatible with acr?

I don't insult anyone, and I don't especially want to be insulted. But the fact is that it happens, especially in live games when someone has too much to drink.

Given that reality, and the fact that most people don't handle that as well as I do (especially when family or race is brought into it, both of which I've seen, both live and online) I have an edge. Successful players are always looking for an edge, whether by studying more, good table selection, or not tilting in a situation where other players will.

As far as profanity filters, IMO they do more harm than good. I don't whine about suckouts. I don't even want the other players to know whether I know what a suckout is. That's not the point.

profanity filters cause all kinds of problems. People have been blocked when trying to read about breast cancer. An "offensive" word or character string can be blocked, wiping out city names (the letters 2 through 5 in "S****horpe", for example.) A common name like "D i c k" can be blocked. "F u c k i n g" (pronounced foo as in fooey, followed by king) is a city in Austria. Imagine what fun the residents of that city have with profanity filters!

Profanity filters come with unintended consequences, and are a lot more trouble than they are worth.

Any edge you gain by not getting tilted is dwarfed by the edge you lose when games become inhospitable to recreational players, perhaps causing a few to leave the game, or not deposit in the future because they werent having fun being verbally abused by profanity laced attacks.

As far as your argument about profanity filters hurting because some rational thoughts are blocked, worrying about players not being able to promote more breast cancer awareness because they dont have to vocabulary to navigate the filter, or players that need to talk to their friends named Dick and also call them by their name in every sentence in the Pokerstars chat box seems like a stretch to say the least.

My deepest sympathies to all the residents of ****ing Australia on ACR that had some ridiculous need to tell everyone at the poker table where they live.

Ill live with those consequences to promote a more friendly gaming environment.

Both players agree to rematch, but the game doesn't load due to some software error. Prob happened 10-15 times to me.

PT4 works as well.

Haven't experienced that yet.

ive had it happen 2 or 3 times to me but each time its been because of lack of funds in the account to pay for the rematch

same thing here. i was in a HU tourney and crushing it and all of a sudden it disconnected. I thought it was time warner at first but every other site was down. I always get nervous when this happens.. I always think BFv2 could be happening :\
