Re: Official Americas Cardroom Help Desk
I love the site and with the direction its going in it seems to be getting better month by month but there are a few things i have concern with.
first of all the bad beat jackpot tables at the .05/.10 level just seem a bit too much. I realize that the idea of winning a jackpot to a small stakes players seems very attractive but the rate of rake and the jackpot contribution most of the time make it incredibly hard to make any money on those tables no matter who u are. In my opinion the bbjp tables should start at the 50nl lvl at least.
Also if I win tourney dollars the only things i can use them on are sngs which hardly ever run. Maybe add some tournaments that take td's as well since u run so many sats or add a Sit and Go promotion so that those start running regularly. No rake for sngs for a month comes to mind as an idea
all in all i think u guys have a great site in the making and look forward to seeing you guys develop even more.

Actually it makes sense that you should be able to use these tokens / tournament dollar for all games, e.g. have a balance for cash and tournament dollars - gonna bump that suggestion

Pretty simple. Because the money transactions are illegal according to UIGEA, online poker itself isn't.

I can't recall any poker sites "getting shut down". Many have decided to pull out of the US market or come to agreements with the government to do so, though, after the UIGEA was passed and then others after they had money seized by the DOJ.

Because what they're doing is illegal, and some get caught.

I am not trying to argue, I don't know much about it, but saying that no sites are shut down is absurd, and trying to dance around it is ridiculous as to what happened.

Re: Official Americas Cardroom Help Desk
I'm not trying to dance around anything, I'm just trying to use clear language so there is no confusion. Sites have been compelled to pull out of the US not because the US government has made online poker illegal, but because they have made processors' actions illegal. It's an important distinction, because some sites may come up with unique processor solutions to allow them to continue doing business, or they just spread their money around and continue with business as usual in spite of seizures; I don't know all the intricacies of the processing business.
No question that it's a fluid situation and there is a degree of risk that any US-facing poker site could be forced to pull out at any time, but it's quite different from online poker being illegal IMO.

Re: Official Americas Cardroom Help Desk
I don't know if this is a known issue with the software or just a bug on my computer, but the sound alert that's supposed to play when the action is on me only goes off rarely, if at all, and it seems pretty random when it does. As a result, I find myself timing out pretty frequently while multitabling without ever having gotten an audible cue that I had action on a table. Is anyone else having this problem?
Oh, and not really a bug, but more of a minor quibble, it seems like the bet slider has a limit on how much clicking it can react to in a second, so rather than being able to *clickclickclickclick* my bet to where I want it, it's more of a *click* pause *click* pause *click* etc. If you guys could change that, spastic clickers like myself all over the internet would rejoice. Thanks!

Not 100% certain on that but it may be a problem with the other setting that you adjusted earlier with the active tables upfront? You wanted to avoid that to save notes etc ... but disabling it may have an influence on the notifications as well?

Try to enable it again and see if that changes anything when you multi table.

Re: Official Americas Cardroom Help Desk
Hello,
I just wanted to say that if you haven't figured out if the MAC version will be flash or download, my vote is for the DOWNLOAD. This helps out a lot. I'm in Missouri so I can't play at Merge. It is the only American site with a downloadable App for Mac besides BetOnline which has no traffic. Mac users are becoming more and more of the market
Thanks.
