jimmy - The glory of full-time online poker is that you get to set your own hours. This means you SHOULD be able to have a life. I understand the guilt bit about "need to put in some volume" but a few hours at a football game you really wanted to go to wouldn't kill you either. Live a little. Maybe go to the game for a few hours but don't get totally plastered and THEN grind it out if it makes you feel better. Something to think about for next time anyway.

It's okay to have friends and actually go out and do things as long as you don't get carried away with it and blow it off ALL the time. Friends trumps poker any day.

I live in Chicago so it was like a 5-6 hour drive each way. I was really beat from the EPT which was really the reason I didn't go.

I have been good about having a social life this summer because I am not taking classes for this quarter. I don't know if you read my posts earlier in this thread but I work full time, go to grad school, and am chasing SNE.

The only thing in my life that has suffered is girls. I basically decided to sacrifice getting laid at a normal rate for making 6-8x my sallary at work this year. I still think it is a fair tradeoff as I will have plenty of time to be a baller when this ridiculous quest is over.

jimmy - I was thinking you were IN Columbus and that going to the game was just a casual stroll for you or something. Yeah, skipping out on a game 6-8 hours drive away isn't the worst sacrifice in the world.

Sacrificing getting laid though...that's another story.

I still do fine, just not as often.

Also, I stand by my decision. As much as I may bitch and moan, when this is all said and done it will be one of the best feelings of accomplishment that I have ever had.

More research is needed, but I've noticed a slight tendency for girls to go for guys with money. Could be a worthwhile investment IMO

Micky - It's hard to get laid when you're an internet nerd spending all day indoors clicking buttons.

I disagree with his mindset that he's making this great income and that the sexy-time is a "sacrifice" he's making.

I mean, it's kind of possible to click buttons for PART of the day and then go out and get the ladies at a DIFFERENT PART of the day. It's not an all or nothing deal. But since he says he's doing fine I will assume he didn't really mean he was sacrificing his entire sex-life to stay indoors and clicky-click on his mousey-mouse all day.

Bob, he's getting sne while having a seperate fulltime job and going to school at night. I donno how he's doing it, but it's gotta involve alot of sacrafice.

Exactly. My friends leak how well I am doing all the time. I don't know if I like it or not but it does help. I may not go out as much but I still go out a good amount and do just fine. Bob, you are blowing this out of proportion.

Not sure. Set the goal for this year alone. I thinkthat when the VPP change goes through and I am making 5x FPPs that I will be very compelled to play. I'll basically be making $100/hr in rakeback alone.
