Brilliant, what is the latest a player can let you know that he/she wants to get in? Also, no one really cares how many of the monthlies a player makes, correct?

Pretty corny to me and hardly worth all the time. I understand the 'prestige' but it can still be bigger by not paying out little monthlies.
Some people may just want to plunk $15 to play with their idol, Brilliant27

Some may just want to play with some posters on here for the competition and the increased ability to debrief on certain hands afterwards.

Also, it's probably a good structure for $15 so some may like it for that.

Others may intend to play all 9 but perhaps their schedule changes and they can't. Thus it's good that they can cash out their winnings when they played

The structure is set up and our friend B27 has worked hard on it. So if it's not for you either set up your side bets or walk into the sunset (A tear is forming in the corner of my eye at that thought though...)

BTW I think the final prize for the SNG would be around 775 as you have to buyin for $50

cicakman, I belive this season is more of a "trial period" rather than a true money-making opportunity. It has already been stated that if all goes well this season, there will be a High Roller series next season if that's more your thing. At this point, it's best to see this series for what it is, a fun little private series for us NJ 2p2'ers, and possibly the start of something special.

I get it. We should still add to the prize pool ourselves. Seems like the entire point to me.

You don't have to let me know that you are playing, you simply enter the tournament, if you want to play. The passwords will be PMd on Saturday, to the players who PMd me for it. (51 so far). If anyone else wants the password, please PM me. You can play as many or as little monthly regular season events, as you choose. Points will be easier to accumulate, if you play all nine events.

I like the current overall BANJO structure. It suits players of all buyin levels. The structure is best for the vast majority of players. If its too "small", in terms of $$$$, you could always do last longer bets, for $50, $100, $500, $1million. You could also do bounties, or whatever you choose to do. The final championship sng will have a minimum $1,450 prize poolpool, so first place will be minimum $750.

would do a $100 KO bounty pool. everyone in the pool only loses the bounty if the person KO'ing them is also in the pool. but i dont know how to do this without p2p transfers.

It seems like a waste to not put any of our own money towards the championship. If we average 60 players each side tourney and each player ONLY puts 1$ from the prizepool towards the final 9 then that adds 540$ to the final sng. 1$ is meaningless towards any payouts of the regular 9 tourneys. 5$ from each would more than double what the prizepool will be. Im not saying make the buyin larger, im saying we need to take a part of it to make the prizes in the final sng larger. So itd be 16$ or 10(prizepool)+5(championship)+1(rake). This way would add 2700$ to the final 9.

Each monthly would be (based off 60 players)
with 5$ taken out
1-174
2-102
3-50.4
4-45
5-39
15-12.6

without
1-261
2-157.5
3-75.6
4-67.5
5-55.8
15-18.9
not a huge difference and with the first way 2700 would be added to the championship along with the 1450 making the total prizepool 4150 and first place 2k at least (assuming 60 players each 9 monthly)

Agree. KISS for the first Series.

It is a starting point that hopefully will get bigger every year, growing with NJ and hopefully adding states.

Thx for your suggestion cicakman, but I'm going to keep the series as currently constructed in the original post of the thread. 95% of my people, whom I just texted, like the current structure for year one. 2015 will be different

Haha. That's funny.

Hey, would it be wrong to create a "fuldeck bounty pool"? Anyone who wants to participate puts $x into the pool and whoever knocks him out of the most BANJO tournaments by the end of the year wins the money. If fulldeck wanted to partcipate, then if he makes it to the November 9 BANJO championship, he wins the money.

Or would that not be nice?

Cool idea and I never would have guessed there were already 50 people interested.

I don't currently play on 888, but I'll create an account just for this.

1 question.. Brilliant.. uhh. who are you? Don't take this as an insult, just generally curious, since coaching is part of the prize.

I actually support this idea fwiw even though it looks like the structure is set.

. 57 people interested and I expect up to 70 password PMs to be sent before regular season event #1. Passwords will be PMd on Saturday. My poker resume: Pro since July 2008. Played 2.5 years on Full Tilt, mid stake HeadsUpSTngos, six days a week, seven hrs a day. Coached on husngcom, best heads up Stngo training site in world. Black Friday hits, played 2/5 at Borgata for 1.8 years. Moved to Vegas the day before Sandy hit. Played 2/5nl in Vegas for one year, six days a week. 2 bracelets. Moved back to NJ Nov 18th to grind NJ mtts. Had alot of success so far with mtts, won the Holiday Thousandaire twice in a six day period on ultimate poker. Won the Wsop 9pm 5k $10rebuy twice so far. 35mtt wins so far since I started grinding mtts on NJ sites. I have a "weird" mtt style, but I think it works great. I play certain hands at certain bb depths, differently than standard. Would be able to offer BANJO winner two solid hours of coaching. Anyways, if the winner doesn't want coaching, then that's cool wit me.

I agree that cicakmans structure is good, but I'm going to keep it as currently constructed in original post. Some people will not be able to make every regular season event, so they will not want to "pay into" extra money for the championship, when their chances of making the November nine are lower, than people who play all nine events. Lets just keep it clean and simple for year one

I'm sending out the password in PMs now, based on the order that I received the PMs. If you don't receive the BANJO password by Saturday, wait longer

Not sure....All 55 PMs have been sent. Passwords are in your inbox. If you did not receive a PM, PM me, because I might have skipped you by accident. Or if anyone is interested in playing, PM me your username and I will send you the password. Fulldeck hasn't contacted me yet, perhaps he is not playing? Anyway we are all set, good luck!
