+1

It is because the sound file is too long, there is a period of silence at the beginning of the file lasting around 0.6 seconds I think.

Many times I act, then hear the sound, because it is initiated at the right time, but the file is too long.

On a similar note, this noise is way too early imo. You get the 1st noise when it is your turn to act, with a timebank of maybe 12 seconds? This second noise comes with 8 seconds to go roughly. It should be more like 6 or 5 seconds. As I am hearing the noise way too often it is no help.

Playing SNGs fwiw.

I received a generic response from support, asking for:

1) The time and date of the occurrence
2) The tournament ID number (or ring table name and game type)
3) The hand number

I'm not going to waste my time any further on this. It's obvious to me why your software is so bad and it takes years to fix simple bugs if this is how you respond to simple bug reports. The sound issue is happening on all hands, not a specific game or table.

When I take time from my busy day to report a software bug, I am being helpful. You are getting free R&D from us, the high volume players. We shouldn't be asked to jump through all kinds of hoops over multiple emails to report a simple problem. You're discouraging input by doing this.

You get a lot of complaints here and I think this should be acknowledged. This is the best thing you´ve done in a long time.
Next thing: bet slider where you can set % for yourself.

On a sidenote I play on a mac and didn´t update for months until I read some comment here and dl from website to get the latest version.
Why isn´t the software updating by itself?

I am not sure that should be considered as positive, after all it's a very minor and trivial thing and it took them two years to implement.

This.

There's also the very annoying sound volume problem that we complained about for way more than 2 years before they even acknowledged it.

And this is the reason why 888poker can continue with a rather atrocious software and support. Because poker players just shrug and bend over.

We've done it again!
Our hugely popular jackpot-style BLAST Poker game has paid out massively over the weekend. Two whopping prize pools of $300,000 and $50,000 were hit at $30 buy-in and $5 buy-in tables by 8 very lucky 888poker players.

BLAST tables are four-handed turbo Sit & Go's and the prize pool isn't shown until the game start. Can you imagine the excitement on the players' faces when they saw $300K light up? The prize pool varies between 2 times and 10,000 times the buy-in and, in this instance, the maximum amount was dialed up on both tables.

A $300K Prize Pool is Hit

In the 300K game, the top payout of $180,000 went to Swedish player, bucopepic, taking down runner-up sreutov from Russia, who didn't do too shabbily either with a $60,000 payday. Third and fourth place finishers took home $30K each.

The final hand saw bucopepic all-in pre-flop with 6c5c. The flop came down 8-5-7, turn 2, river 4, and it was all over.

Another Big Pay Out!

In the second big win of the weekend, player Mn79Ben, an 888poker member for 2 years hailing from Malaysia, hit it big in a BLAST SnG with a $50K prize pool.

The last hand featured an all-in with Mn79Ben holding two black Queens up against Ah6c. The Queens held, and Mn79Ben walked away with the top prize of $30,000.

Second-place finisher, mario868116 from Russia bagged $10,000 and 4th and 5th place each received $5,000.

All-in-all it's been a fantastic weekend for 888poker players. Make sure you don't miss the chance of bagging yourself a big payday at our BLAST poker tables!

hmmm what are you talking about? I agreed that it take way too long time but should we not encourage when good things happen so that they see that we actually care when good things happen?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for 888 to that but, in the meantime, it can be done with 888Caption if it helps.

I'm not sure why people are getting so excited over the announcement of '6 min breaks'...

Players aren't going to get a full 6 min break until 888 fixes the ongoing break issues.

As it stands a great number of players don't get the full break time, whether it be the 5 mins previously or the current 6 mins.

Once the last hand is finally completed before going to break, there is often 1 - 1 1/2 mins of break time already elapsed on the break clock before players even go about what they need to do.

All that extending the break times to 6 mins is going to do (once you take into account the time already elapsed, as mentioned above), is to bring the actual break times closer to the previous 5 min mark it should've been in the first place.

It seems to me that instead of actually fixing the previous break time issues, 888 have decided to go the easier way and simply extend the break times in order to somewhat make up for the shortfall in time.

I would personally prefer to see an announcement outlining breaks being synchronised and all players getting the full 5 or 6 min break time each hour, much like what happens on Pokerstars and other poker sites.

Please take stricter measures for scripting. You banned my account for 2 weeks but as i see a lot of players still scripting without any problems. Please investigate: AllinAlf, 1|1|1|1|1, Crazy_fisher.
