What the hell, 888?

My friend is a recreational player who had a small balance of bit under $100 on your site. He wanted to withdraw it but before he could do so, he had to verify his account so he sent you copy of his passport, driver's licence and internet bill.

2 days later he got this:

I obviously cannot guarantee anything that is out of my control, but I think its highly likely after a warning and once they know their account is in jeopardy if use is continued we would see a complete halt in usage from these players.

Guaranteeing something and then adjusting it to "it is highly likely" are two different things. And given how 888 has been (un)able to catch all of the suspects over the last few years, which in fact just started after players repeatedly called them out to investigate, it may not be as likely as you think.

2) I clearly can see that 888 replier doesnt even understand what am reporting. His reply was absolutely about different issue.
3) Am curious a bit... did 888 email support read its customers emails?

Hey guys! I've made a decent little bankroll on 888 poker out of a 1$ blast ticket that I won. But after playing PLO cash games for about 2 weeks and seeing these "level up" things pop up all the time, I realize that I don't understand **** about the gold token sytstem.

I have a bit over 900 points, and the way I see it is I have 3 options:

1. I can get 5$ + 1$ (6$) ticket for 500 points, so I could get 12$ worth of tickets for 1000 points.
2. I can get 3x 3$ + 1x 1$ ticket for 900 points (that's 10$ for 900 points so it seems like the other option is better even if it costs less... Strange)
3. I could get the 10$ cash bonus but Im guessing it comes with playthrough requirements? Therefore I'm left with the last option: the cash option. But I have no clue what that is because I can't click on the T&C because it's still locked...

I would like to be able to make a choice but I just can't understand what's the best deal for me because the information is hidden.

Can anybody explain what these options are and when they think is the best one? Especially that convert cash thing at the bottom...

Also, I can't even load the webpage when I try to read the T&C, it's very buggy. . This type of "technical" problem is gonna make me withdraw my bankroll pretty soon. This is 2016 and I sometimes feel like some poker clients are outdated. The only reason I play on 888 is for the free promos (thanks for that), and that's mainly because I can't stand a buggy poker software with long loading times.

Welcome to 2+2

Buy either $5+$1 tickets for 500 tokens or $3+$3 tickets for the same price - they're the best way to spend tokens. There are a few $1-$5 PLO MTTs on the schedule, and which ticket bundle to buy depends on which tourneys fit better into your timetable.

The problem with the $3+$3 ticket bundles is that they can't be used in Blast so I always buy the $5+$1 ones instead to buy in there.

I know you can't and I'm not asking you to. He already contacted operations and got this reply.

Can you please check his account? I feel partly responsible as I was the one that recommended 888 to him back in the day. You don't need to reply to me but email him to the email he has on his account. I can guarantee you he has done nothing wrong and we can't think of a single reason why his account should be closed (and your operations team aren't telling him even he did ask).

It depends on the extent of your fear of variance.

Ticket bundles (2x$6=$12 per 1000 tokens) are 1.2 times more lucrative than exchange for cash ($10 per 1000 tokens), so bar the variance, even if you have a -15% ROI in tourneys, you're still better off buying tickets.

888's support officers might have problems with their love lives. When they find a lover, the couple might break up rather quickly when they call the lover 'Jimmy' in bed because they had dealt with a Jimmy at work in the afternoon.

u're wrong. PKR just had a technical bug in their promo email (to all users).

But in my case it was a personal reply to my 1 and unique email.

So its really shows how 888 support is working

I always send over allegations of scripting etc to be investigated regardless of my plea for you to contact support direct so you can have no worries on that score and you can always send these issues to me if you prefer.
