To anyone that plays on Pacific - does stacking tables work? I.e. do they pop to the front the way they're supposed to?

Yes. However there is an issue with note taking, that if you are mid-note on table 1, and action is to you on table 2, table 2 will pop up. Be wary.

ok their support is not great and damn it the software lacks in certain areas like multi-tabling but i think 888poker is more targeted to the entertainment market [as opposed to pros?]
There are pros and cons (as with anything). Best thing to do is just try it out and see for yourself. There are some sites people swear by but I can't play just for a lack of "feel."

I've been on several live event qualifiers with 888 and this was never the case. Each time there was a disclosed amount for airfare described in the package. In my case was enough for round trip every time.

While I'm sure things do go awry from time to time, the occasional rant from a new member on the 888 forums doesn't exactly mean a whole lot. For every winner of a live event package who complains, I'm sure there are a hundred who you never hear from who had no issue.

Also, the majority of times I see a complaint from a live package winner, the issue was they didn't check into the details of the package before playing the tournament. This is just common sense IMO.

And are you allowed accounts on more than one skin (not simultaneously, I just don't like my old 888.com username)?
Yes, but they can't be in the same game.

Should be so tilted but I am kind of just laughing.

He won the pot ($230) + jackpot of $1500.
I did the EXACT same thing and was kicking myself for a week.

Annoying at times, but as mentioned before, would pose a security issue to change.

Any chance that these could be tickets AND have the option to cash them out?
Even its its only for a small amount, even if its only for a $8- bonus with play through requirements, anything would be better than nothing.

Cheers

We need to get tournament tokens in place first before tournament tokens for cash are even considered. Tourney tokens are definitely on the agenda, although I don't want to give you a timeline to get your hopes up. Hopefully sooner than later!

I'll pass along the feedback. I'm pretty sure there are some decent value tournaments with some overlays in the $5-$20 range for the Aussie time zone.

Did you Wire Transfer?

There's a 3 day hold period - which would have taken you to Friday. Then (in my experience) it's 5-7 business days after that point. So I would expect you to see your money maybe by this coming Friday, give or take a day.

^^ That's my timeline in Canada. May be slightly different for other locations/banking institutions.

What limit?

Lots of micros going all the time.

Usually 5+ .50/1 tables going at all times

More 2/4 PLO tables than 1/2 tables, but most 2/4 players will drop down to 1/2 if there's some games going (or .50/1 players will step up).

3/6 games go occasionally but only if 2/4 players decide to run them.

Usually a couple 5/10 or 10/20 games on the go during peak hours.

It probably said "Processing" at the beginning during the 3-day wait period. It will say "Paid" for a bit while the money is "in transit."

I will ask, but the answer is probably "not at the moment, because there isn't enough 5/10 plo traffic as it is, 'killing' off players in HU games won't serve to increase numbers."

I'll ask, but if they're gone than the promo is likely over. Just out of curiosity because I never looked, were the 1c games covering the guarantee or was there much overlay?

Decent structure. Traffic is slow above $20 in my experience. Although it may have picked up recently due to the overall increase in traffic.

The 1 cents were mostly filled up to 90% or more on the guarantees.

REDUCE THE RAKE

Having a $4 cap on rake, higher than any other site is redic when you mix in that your reward system is so bad. A Mac client would be nice too

Hello,

i dont know if 888 rep can be helpful about this but i have to ask.

I run an affiliate site and have a deal with luckyacepoker. A player of mine recently deposited and started playing HU. He got a nice hot run and won "a lot" on the tables for short amount of time(i believe he deposited less than 1k and got his acc very fast to 5k). For some reason his account got locked and the support is saying he was chip dumping and his account will remain frozen and he wont get any funds. I know the guy and he is a HU regular on other sites for years, plays for living and stuff.. so basically he will never chip dump or do anything stupid. The support however refuses to unlock his account. My question is can you be of any assistance with this so i provide more info and data(names, accounts etc)?

$4!!!

That is enough to ensure I never play there, even if it does explain the 888 reputation for a high fish ratio.

Hi,

just to keep everybody in touch - I got $200 of my missing $300 back! It seems that the software didn't add my $200 deposit to my balance. So if anybody else is still missing funds (took the support more than 2 weeks to figure it out and they are still looking for the missing $100 lol), check if you made a deposit on the day your funds dissapeared.

Proper rewards for points considering the INSANE amount of rake that is taken is a complete must. Im still struggling to get my head around the rake. A proper points store and the ability to show your status at a table would be good. Basically just copy Stars and it'll all be good. Hopefully something can be done.

Thankyou

I'm experiencing constant freezing of the software. Sometimes it's several times during one hours, sometimes it's less frequent. The tables freeze for about 10 seconds or more, the timebank runs out and the hand is mucked. I've lost several hundred dollars because of that. I've heard that some other players are experiencing this problem as well. I really hope that your technical department is working on this problem, it's very tilting and costly bug.

I have a question about the VIP system as well. If I get the yearly VIP status, say in July does it last till the next July or till the end of the next year? If it's the first one I think it's not fair. In that case if I happen to rake a bit less during the first half of the next year than during the first half of the given year I lose my VIP-status in July despite having raked a substantial amount during the year-on-year basis. I hope you understand what I meant. Questions welcome.

A quick comparison with the stars rake structure:

For NL50-200, when there are 3 players at the table, stars takes just $1 max rake, while lucky ace $4, that's 300% more.

For NL50-200, when there are 4-5 players at the table, stars takes just $2 max rake, while lucky ace $4, that's 100% more.

Also, at most stakes, stars takes 5 cents for each $1 in the pot, while lucky ace 1 cent for each 20 cents in the pot. Assuming there is a hand with $1.99 in the pot, stars will charge 5 cents from the pot, while lucky ace 9 cents, that's 80% more.

If you achieve VIP today, you'll maintain this status to the end of the next calendar year (31 December 2012). Not sure if it works similarly for regular VIP, too, but once you make it to the VIP Diamond, the rake requirement to maintain your status in the next year is halved. At least that's what my VIP manager said.
