Re: **The New and Official 888poker Players' Thread**

I'll field the first question with 100% accuracy:

rakebake is at 'x' percent for 'y' level.
2% for blue
2% for bronze
4% for silver
9% for gold
18% for platinum
27% for VIP
36% for VIP platinum

rakeback is only paid out once you reach $10 worth however. So if you are playing microstakes chances are you'll be bronze/silver status.

so for bronze, you'll need to pay $500 of rake to get $10 back.

The administration fee shall be deducted from the dormant account commencing from the last day of the sixth month in which the account is inactive and on the last day of every month thereafter, until the balance of the account has reached zero. In the event that you login to your account during the ten-month period during which the administration fee is levied, the Company will cease to levy the administration fee but shall not be obligated to return to you any monies already deducted from the account at such time.

You'll know as soon as I do.

I've asked for feedback on this issue. Awaiting a reply.

A few questions & suggestions for you.

1. Could you please post the effective rakeback you get at 888 through the current "loyalty program" for the different levels. Could you please post this in a manner people like me, microdonks, will understand easily. For example, if you rake $400 you'll get $60 back or whatever.
Also, the rake is quite high so a better than average reward program is expected.

2. The clearance rate of your bonuses is way too low IMO.

3. I'm timing out a lot when I play a few tourneys at the same time, could you change the way you alert the player when you have like 5 seconds left or something. The way it is at the moment I just don't notice unless I'm really keeping an eye on that table.

4. The last hand replayer feature is a great addition but it feels awkward comparing it with Full Tilt / Stars. I think you should improve its functionality.

5. I think you could add more Omaha 8 tourneys, gamblers love that game and you have a few of those among your customers. Also, any plans to add mixed games ?

6. I sent an e-mail to your support team a few days ago asking for a few hands I was missing and am still waiting. It seems that many people complain about your support team. If you want to take your company to the next level you should improve this area.

I think you have improved the overall look and feel of your site a lot in the last couple of years but it's a shame you don't push the improvement further in order to get the most of the ex Full Tilt players ( like me ).
Thanks for the feedback.

1. See above.
2. I'll mention it
3. I'll see what sort of alternatives we can look into.
4. I believe this is being worked on, don't quote me on that, I'll check into it first.
5. More Omaha games are slowly making their way over. There have been alot of good value tournaments added recently. Mixed games are probably still a little ways away.
6. You won't get text-based HH's through support. They can supply summaries of hands but not the histories. I agree, this should be improved.

I know you did not personally come up with this policy, but it is unbelievably sketchy and unethical. Frankly, it's borderline theft.

edit: On second thought, it is theft. $10/month would be an administrative fee. 10% of the balance is just stealing.

Re: **The New and Official 888poker Players' Thread**

There is a huge thread about how much of an issue it is. Recently, after a ton of negative critism, they have been giving some random % back if you complain after the fact. The thread is here in Internet poker somewhere, it's an incredibly ridiculous policy though.

That thread is a good read btw, at first I don't even think they sent out warning e-mails.

Yes it is. It is also one if the great things about the site, it's not full of rakeback pros and has the best ratio of solid-casual players. I just wish their rake was lowered to the industry standard.

On the plus side it seems like you can pretty much always be under a reload bonus. That adds a decent % to your rakeback.

Re: **The New and Official 888poker Players' Thread**

Maybe its just me but I think this client reminds me a lot about Full Tilt's. At least the sounds are VERY identical, but also how the interface is structured. Its like a mix of 80% FTP and 10% Stars with the last 10% being unique. Its not as good at FTP were or as Stars is, but I actually think its pretty decent comparing to many other networks.

I miss a warning sound where your hand is about to get automatically folded though. I'd like an option to ONLY play this sound and no other sounds. I don't know how many hands I've mucked by mistake when multitabling.

Cheers

Re: **The New and Official 888poker Players' Thread**

I tried to play on 888 and left with a bad taste in my mouth. I know that every business wants to make money, but this is the one network that only cares about just that.

I was trying to browse the deposit options and got hassled right away to make a deposit. I didn't even have time to look at everything. Anyway, after my initial deposit and going bust, the cashier and live chat now pops up everytime I log in and asking me again to deposit.

I kind of liked the software and players too, but this operation is run by greed and I felt invaded by my first time there. I won't go back.

The next is in the final stages of testing.

That's why I posted it. Better everyone knows about it up front and just logs in once every 6 months to avoid it.

People have retrieved up to 80%+ back.

I've been assured several times the e-mails do go out.

I agree the policy needs drastic changes, but until those changes happen, the most important thing we can do is make sure people are aware and keep out of trouble in the first place.

Always a monthly reload code.

Are you on 888 or an affiliate?

Any one else having this problem?

The cashier popping up everytime is a bug for a very small percentage of people which should be fixed in the next update.
