I have been a live regular in Atlantic City for years and Pennsylvania lately. I grinded in Southern California as well.

If anyone is interested send me a pm
I am afraid it may be a problem to full time grinder on any of the sites because of "traffic" size. Maybe combine them all at once is a chance but you will need some multi-tabling skills because IMO it may hurt more than reward. Especially if they assign your screen names to you as one person since from what I've read already about NV sites cash games there are number of regulars and it is low. NJ is much larger but still...
With that being said I truly hope I am waaaayy off...

I too am worried about NJ having too many sites. I think and hope that the cream will rise to the top pretty quickly, and the best 2 or 3 sites will consume most of the player traffic. Borgata is the best live casino, and I'd expect them to produce a top quality site.

I will be playing at the Borgata and Ultimate sites to start. I got the invite for early play at Ultimate with $5 free. I think the Borgata site will be the best if you like Tournaments, at least that's what I'm hoping. If there are 100 players in multi table tournaments to start I think that would be very good.

people saying NJ is dangerous are talking about essex count and atlantic city. Camden too. That makes up a tiny portion of the state. Hunterdon and Somerset county are two of the nicest counties in the entire country.

It was suggested that this thread be started. This will be a general thread.

Anticipating the sites will set up their own threads similar to what Ultimate Poker and WSOP.com have done for Nevada.

Good Change of Thread Name. Carry on.

I'm pretty sure after launch day, WSOP.com, Ultimate Poker, Borgatapoker.com, and Partypoker will start specific threads pertaining to NJ. I do not know about Tropicana or Golden Nugget.

Continuing the affiliate conversation from the other thread...whats the status of this in NV? Did early adopters miss out on extra bonuses because they signed up directly through the sites?

Those counties are also fairly expensive. I am in Somerset county and it is not exactly cheap.

Theres a BIG grey area between those areas too. New Jersey is infamous for its suburbia and there are plenty of towns in the cheap counties you can get a cheap apartment in safe neighborhoods to set up your grind.

The bigger concern for people wanting to relocate is player volume.

Does anyone think that we will be able to deposit funds on the first day easily? I am not willing to use my bank account. I was hoping to use PayPal but see that they will not be available. Think we will have a western union type of option for deposit?

Funds should be easy to deposit. You can even deposit cash at a 7-11 in person onto Ultimate. WU is expensive and I don't think it will be on all sites.

Thanks, didn't know about depositing at 7-11's. There's one about 15 minutes from me so that will work.

This part is really awesome, imagine if they advertise this inside the 7-11s. Would bring a lot of traffic.

ok this is a huge question.. can you have two accounts on one site from the same address? me and my friend rented an apt in hoboken together.. were gonna grind and obv the accounts will be in different names.. is this allowed?

I'd imagine as long as you don't sit at the same games, at least that's how most sites do it.

As for any other online poker site, I would expect that would be covered by the T&C's of the site(s) in question.

I'm planning to try them all out at first to see which has:
  1. The best games / most traffic
  2. Best software
  3. Best customer service
  4. Best promotions

Pretty much in that order of importance. While the software and customer service are what makes me like a site more than any other, I would be forced to play at a lesser site if the games are much better there. If PS doesn't enter the game soon, then I'm hoping that the Borgata wins out so I can earn comps for visiting/playing live.
