Im not sure, how anybody, could possibly like the god awful Ultimate Poker software.

Was just on the phone with Borg support. They said to look in the Borg program file to make sure I saw a GeoComply Geolocation Client System API file there. (presume from the name it helps find me). I saw it both in the Borg program file and elsewhere in its own Program file. The version in the Borg file was 2.1.3.0 - the version in its own file was 2.1.3.2. Support said to delete 2.1.3.0 version in the Borg file (its apparently old - they are using 2.1.3.2 now) AND also delete the stand alone file. Then, delete and reload the Borg software.

Done and done but no progress. Borg download still populates with 2.1.3.0 and the stand alone file did not reappear.

Borg support said that's all they could suggest at this time and would refer my case to the tech area.

I have no idea which site the stand alone file came from. I guess I should delete and reload the other three but before I do I wanted to ask the group if I am going to initiate the law of unintended consequences.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please take into account that I am not a tech savvy person in any responses.

Thanks
Wow. I am pretty sure you would need both of those files, they do different things. Don't panic yet.

please check your IP and tell me if it shows out of state ( www.whatsmyip.com )

Then let me know if you have any VPNs or Remote desktops running.

Will try to help you.

Took me under two minutes to sign-up and register for my first SNG on BorgataPoker. Had $50.01 in my account instantly.

HM2 works beautifully, however you need to enter the directory manually as auto detect doesn't work: C:\Programs\theBorgata\BorgataPoker\HandHistory\YO URSCREENNAMEHERE +subfolders

Does anybody know if the player pools will be segregated from Nevadas traffic? And if it is segregated .. why?

Few questions.

1. Do you have to be a NJ resident or is it just like online poker in vegas where you just need to be in New Jersey?

2. Deposit/Withdraws are done at Caesars only in AC? So you can't deposit/withdraw at Borgata?

3. Deposit/Withdraw Limits?

4. If i go to borgata and play using the wifi in the borgata living room... would i be able to do that? I recalled borgata doesn't have free wifi in the hotel rooms and you need to pay 12 per day or so.

5. How is the volume now? How many players will there be when it officially launches? I assume it would be much more than how many players there are in ultimatepoker when it first started?

Wow. I stopped it there and it worked. Awesome thanks Thinky. I still can't deposit, but at least I can get to the deposit screen. I called and the guy said to just look around the site and wait to deposit until 26th. No bonus in my account.

The problem is its not clearly visible in the task manager list. If you are on a PC, try looking for vpnui.exe, or vpnagent.exe which are Cisco. If you are on MAC or Android, let me know.

They already are, because of the law.

Yes it's NJ only. Eventually the hope is for Nevada, NJ and Delaware pools to be put together, along with any other states which are legalized.

I would like to know traffic #'s so far.
With all the trouble being reported, how many are getting in and playing, with little/no issues.

(I know it's a soft launch.....but just curious)

I do not think there is a definitive number traffic wise but I think the most traffic is Partypoker.com/Borgatapoker.com and WSOP.com.

My IP is in the state. I do not have any VPNs running. Btw windows 7 has has a property control > Systems and secruitys > System > Remote settings > Unselect allow access through remote desktop. I also get the same error message if i use party pokers web client. I also have 5 or 6 wifi networks showing up on my laptop. Still to no avail still get this message. I contacted partys support as well they told me to wait until the 26th very depressing let me know if you can help.

I've seen from 130-200 or so on Borgata poker site. SnGs run but can take a while to fill up. I would stick to cash games until they stop randomly booting for geolocation - at least they let me finish the hand.

I can't help but wonder how a Pokerstars launch would be going had they been approved. Given all the tech glitches and bad software, it's too bad the best company in the business is locked out. Not to say Stars wouldn't have experienced geolocation issues as well, but I'm confident their customer/tech support would be miles ahead of what we have now.

Yes it's a soft launch and yes it's better than nothing... but the number of major glitches still present on the 4th day of a 5-day trial, is unacceptable. This has been amateur hour so far.

It appears to be the #1 reason even those buried within the bowels of New Jersey can't play without being blocked or having frequent disconnections. It is impossible to vpn, okay, but it is impossible to play if you are in the suburbs. I would call that an epic flaw.

Same with 888. Well 888's weren't every half hour, I think they were every hour, but they also had a number of $100 ones and a $500.

If they don't fix this getting thrown off in the middle of a game or tournament by official launch it's gonna be rough. I am poker obsessed (I never stopped playing online) but I've just about had it with not being able to complete a session. I don't understand how the location verification keeps changing when I'm sitting at a stationary computer in the middle of the state with my cellphone sitting next to me. AAARRRGGHHH!

Agreed it makes no sense. I am assuming it must simply be a glitch in the software being run by whatever geolocation firms have been licensed to provide that service.

My guess is that these firms sold the NJ lawmakers on having an "airtight" system that could not be subverted (by gotomeeting, remote cellphone, etc.), but they are not up to the task of delivering on all their promises.

well, they do work in the respect that they are effective in keeping players from PA and other states out of NJ online poker, therefore not placing any site in violation of any state or federal law.........but.....
