Of course there are terms and conditions, but the above is the headline, and it makes it sound like you get the bonus upfront. That was not my personal expectation, but clearly many folks on here misunderstood the bonus structure, so I was providing clarification for them.

And this bonus structure is in fact a complete ripoff, there's no doubt about that. It is similar to how bonuses have previously worked in that you must earn them. But the earn rate is glacial in comparison. On the basis of my above example, you have to play 10,000 hands to earn the 1st 10% increment, and 100,000 hands to earn the full bonus.
Like meow said, "you don't play online , do you"????

Below is Full Tilt Poker's matching bonus from their web site and it doesn't say T&C's apply. Almost every Casino/Poker Room says the same thing. If you played online you would know this. Now, I agree their terms to earn your bonus sucks!!!!

I haven't been able to deposit on Borgata (my bank isn't on the list of banks that they said would be most likely to work, and the transaction was declined,) but luckily I placed in 3rd in the 1500 freeroll so I have a little more than a hundred tournament dollars to mess around with... The only problem is sometimes it thinks I'm not in NJ.

Which leads to my two questions (I'm sure I could find the answer somewhere in the last 50 pages, but I'm not gonna get through all that)

1) Has anyone been verified, and then wrongly kicked out mid session due to bad geolocation?

2) What are they doing to fix this? Clearly recreational players aren't going to be playing a whole lot of it's unreliable and it keeps telling them they're out of state...

I completely agree the rate is very slow and pretty terrible, but I'm still failing to understand why anyone would think they would give you $600 up front without having to clear it through a certain amount of rake like every other deposit bonus. If you have never played online poker then I guess maybe you could make this assumption, but anyone who has ever played online should have no reason to think this.

On Borgata they have tons of freerolls for reaching certain milestones or even winning with a particular hand... One of the freerolls you can can get into is $5,000 if you "friend" 10 people... kind of like on facebook. All of us on Borgata should friend each other to get it...

I'm RounderAK feel free to friend me.

Edit: There's also a $500 freeroll for making 1 friend and a $2500 freeroll for making 5 friends... if you make 10 you get into all 3.

Good call. I'm y2dennis there too if anybody wants to friend me. Looks like the freerolls pay in tourney dollars but the 6-man turbos are really soft so doesn't bother me much.

You clear $1 for every 20 points, and at 2 points for $1 in rake you would need $6000.

If this is the official break down that's not bad at all. Is that on their promotion page? Last time I checked it wasn't up.

Over all I must say that while I am glad to have online poker back in NJ after all these years, I am more than a little disappointed in the roll out so far.

The problems that I have experienced and have read about on this thread are depressing. These are supposed to be experienced, professional businesses that have been doing this for a number of years.

The problems with such basic functions as connectivity, deposits, location verification and others are just pathetic. It points to a lack of management, competency, planning and testing.

What's even more sad is that there is no incentive for any of the companies involved to work very hard to fix things. They can take their time; confident in the knowledge that the customers will still be around, no matter how long it takes them to actually produce a somewhat decent product.

We live in a world where mediocrity is the new excellent.

This is the main reason that the other casinos did not want Pokerstars. They could not compete with excellence.

What's the deal with the $600 Borgata sign up bonus? I haven't seen it advertised anywhere in the client or their website. Sounds like there isn't a code required? Does it expire?

I'm curious, does anyone know the thought process behind having multiple sites per casino like Bogata/Party and WSOP/888?

The only thing I can think of is that its in preparation for ROW play and the lack of exposure an AC casino has with the rest of the world, but that explains Borgata, it doesn't explain WSOP/888.

Anyone have tips for getting Borgata/Partypoker geolocate to work? Can't get support and for some reason wsop.com doesn't give me any problems with this.

(Also my Media link USB network adapter icon in bottom right corner shows as disconnected, even though I AM currently connected to my home wireless network which I thought was weird)

Not that I don't somewhat agree with parts of your position, but geo location is something that is brand new for all of these companies.

Is there reason to be disappointed? Sure, but it should be with your federal govt. failing you, not with the NJ sites having issues during the first week of being live. If it wasn't for our ridiculous govt. we wouldn't be having geo location issues because that problem wouldn't exist.

This is a giant leap in the right direction, embrace it and roll with the punches until things improve.

When you connect make sure you have two or more wireless connections in your network connections. 888 offers a free wireless adapter to see more connections. If you do see 2 or more verify your geo location just google for a site that doe it there are good ones ITT. If not in nj contract your ISP about seeing your IP to NJ. If you see 2+ connections and verify you are in NJ you need to manually search your programs for VPN though i doubt this if the issue as ceasers software would def pick this up. Good Luck.
