I've been a bit frustrated with my options to withdrawal to my bank account. Currently I play across four networks; PokerStars, Party, 888, and Blackchip, and I wager on a few other sportbooks.

My accounts are all in US dollars as well as my neteller account but when it comes time to withdrawal to my bank account if I choose to do that neteller will not allow me to withdrawal in US dollars and forces the money to be converted to another currency at a reasonably high, ~4% currency conversion rate. My bank of preference to withdrawal to is in the country I reside in which is Thailand. So even if I do choose to accept that currency conversion rate to change the $ to Euro I'm then going to take on another hit once it reaches Thailand and is then re-converted to thai baht(this one a bit smaller).

I've created a Euro Skrill account in hopes that sites such as pokerstars would allow me to withdrawal to that method but for whatever reason PokerStars says "my country" is only allowed to withdrawal in US dollars.

I don't understand either policy from pokerstars or neteller but I'm looking for a better way of withdrawaling my winnings off these sites aside from paying these high currency conversion fees or exchanging funds in P2P transfers. The first carries with it a high cost while the second option can leave me open to higher risk.

In the past the sites have allowed direct bank withdrawal to my bank but in the past year and a half that option has been removed from all my sites aside from 888.

If anyone has a better solution for me with lower risk or lower cost I'd appreciate either a post here or a personal PM.

Thanks.

same positon for those living in the americas now not much that can be done other then eat the fee, although when i send from skrill euro to my local bank account peso skrill doesnt convert it, my local bank does. i didnt calculate if it was lower or higher then the skrill conversion % though.

there is a new neteller/skrill like company that lets you hold multiple currency accounts but they dont serve all sites, its called ecopayz

I think your best bet is to trade your Pokerstars USD for someones Euros (either Skrill/NT/Cash or bank). If you're active in the threads it shouldn't be too hard to get regular cashouts. Otherwise wait until you're back in EU and switch to Euro currency then exchange USD to EUR via cashier and cashout?

On BCP at least, you could withdraw in bitcoin and then sell them in the currency of your choice.

Withdraw from pokerstars in dollars to your creditcard. Then you will have a normal exchange rate.

A friend of mine has a similar problem with Skrill.

Skrill forces USD account holders to pay ~2.5% even if they are withdrawing directly to an USD account.

Is there any poker or sports site that takes USD skrill deposits, and lets you withdraw via other method?

You talk about Neteller (is this 2006?), Skrill etc - have you tried actually withdrawing to your bank account like normal people would?

Obviously the rate will vary according to your specific providers and jurisdictions, but it is normal for credit card issuers to charge a ~2.5% exchange rate fee for currency conversions.

There are very few - but certainly not zero - financial institutions in the world that charge no fees for this service.

If the OP lives in Thailand, and needs to convert money into THB from USD/EUR/GBP to actually spend on stuff, he's likely going to have to pay a fee at some stage to someone.

unless ur willing to deal in BTC (via trading or other means), ur going to have to pay the higher fees

if u do enough volume w neteller/skrill u can get a VIP upgrade and save on the FX fees

In thailand you cant cashout directly to your bank account since 1 year ago.

Not much you can do OP, living there sucks for this type of things.

I am in Thailand too. It was so nice when Pokerstars would send the money to the bank. It was quick and cheap. Now Neteller jumps in the middle and robs you blind. I messed up when I created my Neteller acct in EUR. Every time I cashout Neteller charges to convert from USD to EUR. Then they take again when they change from EUR to Baht. I'm probably losing about 18% or more on all my cashouts. I haven't bothered to close my Neteller acct and open a new one to change the preferred currency because they are a big pain in the ass to deal with when opening a new account, but this is just ridiculous.

from my experience when trying to do this exact transaction stars will convert your converted euro back to usd again before sending it off. there is a little dropdown in the withdrawal pages asking which currency to send in but only usd is available.

i sent an email to stars support asking to have the ability to cashout in euros and they replied with form email that had nothing to do with my request. im guessing the option doesnt even exist
