PS policy may have changed since but this was around 2 years ago.
i think the OP is talking about having 2 two accounts in the same name using different skins, not two different pplz accounts using the same IP

Only cash games...

Re: Multi-accounting allowed at Ongame??

He claims he did it by accident, then didn't know what to do, so he just played it out:

http://www.pokerforum.ca/f6/moose-di...03/index4.html

A quick google search, however, brought up two examples of him doing this before. Accident my a**! God I hate scumbag cheaters.

Re: Multi-accounting allowed at Ongame??

Hi,

I was the one who noticed the multi accounts in the game...

and cdnmoose... I'm not even one little bit mad about you doing it.

I am pizzed that the Ongame network allows this to happen.

I have played there for years.. that's about to end.

Obvious multi accounting is one thing... but how about the Oodles of people who are doing this using way different screen names that we players wouldn't pick up on? We really don't know how outta control this mess is!

I enjoy beating a guy once in a game... I sure don't want to have to beat the same guy several times. This Ongame behavior puts anyone playing MTT's on a single account at a huge, unfair disadvantage... especially those in the Big Mtt's.

Ongame has a rule... but that seems to be all they have...

I think they should assume responsibility for their screw up....

Why should they be able to collect the rake from multi accounts... then take all the prize money from the 1% that gets caught by PLAYERS catching them... and Ongame keeps the money.... and still allows this problem to continue to occur?? That just doesn't make any sense to me.

I believe they SHOULD NOT be allowed to steal the money from the accounts of involved players... They ALLOWED this to happen. Why on earth should they be Paid rake + all the player's Cash... and STILL do nothing about it? Sounds like a win-win for them. They likely hope that we all continue to report suspect accounts... look at all the money they will make!!!!

I think they should fix whatever needs fixed to prevent players from doing this. Then broadcast over the entire network and email everyone to say from "what ever date" that Multi accounts will be kicked off the network with their money taken from their accounts... and they will be unable to join into network tournaments any more than once. The IP blocker will prevent them from joining from skin sites. Put the past in the past.. fix the future.

I, for one, will not be playing much at Ongame until this is fixed. I have a couple of tickets and a few bucks there.... and thats it till this mess is cleared up.

I caught a short-stacker using multiple skins to avoid the rat-holing rule. He was doubling up, leaving the table, then returning under a different screen name at a different skin. After some back and forth with support at Hollywood they got in touch with Ongame and the guy was warned that he was breaching the rules. I don't know if anything else ever happened to that scum.
back when they allowed US players, I would do this

I had 9 or so different skins and would be shortstacking 200 to 2000NL all day long

it was amazing, with the bonus system they had in place, I was over 100% contributed rakeback as well

I never understood why they let me do the things I did

oh well... that was long, long ago in my poker career

I don't really blame the players all that much. People will do whatever they can get away with before the read any ToCs.

Still no response from Ongame(or Pokerroom where original thread started) over this.

Why would they, PR clearly has a non-disclosure policy in place, isnt that just the norm.

Re: Multi-accounting allowed at Ongame??

Hi Everyone,

I came across this thread, and made sure ongame was aware of this.

Let me start by saying this problem was not an ongoing issue and was a temporary problem, which is now fixed.

Although I can't speak about the player(s) in question, I can assure you that ongame has the utmost respect for security. We here at HollywoodPoker obey by very strict rules which is well enforced by ongame to make sure all players are kept safe at all times.

So no need to worry there, are no NEO NEO accounts on our software.

If you have any questions relating to security or anything related to HollywoodPoker I would be happy to answer them via PM.

Thanks,

Chris

What about the ongoing issue of needing players to point out your problems and then making little to no comment during the issue and after it's fixed.

PS. I know that HP wasn't involved in this part. Just PR and I can't remember if Ongame was directly contacted
