I do not wish to take away from the fact a 5€ rake sounds high, but I do think its fair to show that win rates on our Euro tables more than compensates for the higher rake for a decent player.

Thats a lousy argument. Someone is losing money for people to win except for the site which is making it harder for players to win due to exhorbitant rake. How do win rates for a few players more then compensate for the high rake for say winning players with win rates that are wiped out by the exhorbitant rake? Neill is more then fair but taking this stance with that type of argument is insulting players intelligence. I am not experienceing a ridiculous win rate by the way, ridiculous beats maybe. I am sure no one wants to hear about my bad beats , I certainly don't want to hear about anyones ridiculous win rate to justify ridiculous rake being charge. Just saying.

Touché Neil. If you use the extra money you're earning in rake to advertise and recruit more droolers then we can have a nice thing going here.

Ok I’ll stick with the line play on the USD tables only and if you want easier competition go to the Euro tables, pay higher rake and win more.

‘insulting players intelligence’ is not my intention however using only a rake per BB is not the best comparative.

I could ask why some players choose to drive a further 50 miles to an easier live game rather than just 5 to a local one. Often because the competition is a little easier and the additional cost of fuel and time is more than compensated buy the easier action.

Neil

P.S. I know this is an argument that I will NOT win ever here so I will be better to keep quiet on it.

I lost my 1200 bankroll mostly at euros and would say I am a competent player so I disagree that the games are easy. As more players are recruited from 2 plus 2 and U.Sgames will be more difficult still. I raked well over 1200 in my time on site and no qualms about depositing again. Being primarily an omaha player there is not much choice but to play the euro tables. The rake is insane I will say we can agree to disagree and I understand that nothing will be done about the rakes so I will try and stop complaining about it.

True I would rather play at Minted and be able to cashout then on another site where I have to wait for 2 months but thats not enough of an argument to charge more then double the rake.

All I know is that until the rake is changed I will not be playing the euro tables and I might actually go to the euro tables to recruit for dollar tables.

I may wait until the site grows before depositing again. Not enough Omaha games to be able to boycott the omaha euro games. Neill really did a great effort in expanding the tournament games and adding freezouts which is really appreciated by the way. I tapped out my Deposit bonus so it will be that much harder to profit.

Re: ***MintedPoker / Minted Poker Official Support & Promotions Thread***

I'd like to see some ridiculous win rates myself. I doubt many players have a solid win rate at the nl100(euro) tables over a large sample. Anyone have a Garph?

You should atleast consider changing the rake at the HU tables. The rake is so bad HU that you can pretty much figure out who the fish are based on whether someone is actually willing to play you. Also, hu games are not running much, maybe a lower rake will get some games going.

Neil, you have been a tremendous help to this thread, as well as Minted as a
whole. However, we all know, and know that you know, that the rake on the euro tables is beyond absurd. Why do the europeans, or italians specifically ( i dont really know what i am talking about), play on these tables? Is that all they can play on, or are they mentally retarded??????? .......................?????........

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????

I mean, if thats all THEY can play on...they why the hell would u lower the rake. Then again, perhaps more of them would play if it wasnt such a turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrble deal.

And FWIW....i rarely play euro tables, but have been today....and have had a horrendous downswing because of it.
