About 1½ year ago, I moved, was bored with poker and got busy with work, so I stopped playing poker.
Before that, I was playing 20-60 hours a month of multitabling (12-16 tables) mostly 9-10 man regular (not speed) SNGs in the 11-33$ range on FullTilt and Party Poker, and had a ROI around 5-20% depending on buyin.
Looking to get back into playing, I find that my old knowledge about the different sites might be outdated.
Here are my requirements:
1. Always action for 12-16 tables (European time)
2. Good software (hotkeys for fold/push etc - can be 3rd party)
3. Support for PokerTracker
4. Soft opponents
...And rakeback would also be nice.
Now to the question: What is the best place to spend my time and effort playing?
As much as I don't like FTP's blind structure compared to other sites, it is a very soft site and they offer 27% rakeback. Theres action 24/7, I reccomend it to you.
I think your only real choice will be Stars and FTP if you want to play regular speed SNGs - it's hard enough to get 12-16 tables of Speed SNGs going at Party now (thankyou DestroyerOfNormal SNGs for that...).
Juk>> Ah, the "Double or Nothing"s? I think they showed up around the time I stopped playing poker. I was in the lobby earlier today, and the DON were filling up, where the regular speed sngs were just sitting there...
HeadxAche>> Thanks for the recommendation. I have played there the past two weeks, and it is pretty good (+tooling is acceptable). It is however pretty hard to not get 1-2+ regs in every game, and removing those would really help the ROI, so that is why I am shopping around.
No love for any of the iPoker sites? Is their software still appalling and the tooling non-existent - or is there too little volume?
