Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

First, despite the initial glitches, 6.0 is an improvement imo and a good step forward.

I want to address something that no one to my knowledge has griped about, but it drives me effing crazy and if it were fixed would make my playing on Merge 100% less frustrating.

This is the way that Merge deals with focus-stealing. (5.0 did it as well, and it's time for a fix). Whenever it's my action on one of my tables, that table gets put to the front. Generally that would be fine, but if I'm taking notes I'll look up to see that half my notes have now been typed into a chat box because the focus has been stolen from the note box.

Solution? Just make focus stealing a user option.

On a related note, I like that we can now color code player types, but when you bring up the color-coding box it freezes you from performing an action on any table. THEN, if you are in the middle of color coding an opponent when your action comes up on a table that happens to be below the color code box, that table will COVER the box, BUT you will be restricted from any action until you can click OK on the color code box. Only you can't get back to the color code box because you are restricted from action until you close out the color code box. Nice little catch-22. (The only way of getting back to the color code box is by going through the client menu.)

I realize the above sounds convoluted and likely only makes sense to someone else who's experienced the same problem, but it's really annoying.

Anyway, am I the only one being driven crazy by these focus stealing issues? If so, then so be it, but if not, please add your voice that that Merge can make it more of a priority.

YES!!! I think this is the first time I've seen anyone mention this. Its so hard to type single sentence, focus is lost multiple times before I can make the simplest note.

Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

Here's a x-post I made in the BCP thread trying to raise some awareness for the betterment of tournaments as a whole.

Hello,

I'd like to make a few suggestions regarding multi-table tournaments, if I may.

-Auto rebuy, double auto rebuy, and auto add-on for rebuy tournaments would make things go a lot faster, giving us more hands in the rebuy period

-More regular speed/deepstack tournaments for the late night schedule; everything is turbo

-Higher guarantees for tournaments reaching their guarantees. This would attract so many more players, including myself. I just don't see the point in playing a 1k guar. for $11 or a 2k guar. for $33, etc.

-Clean up the mtt lobby. There's no need to list satellites here. Keep the important tournamens near the top, adding in the big buy in daily tournaments each day. Keep the 45/90/180 man mtsngs. I truly believe these mtsngs will gain in popularity once the lobby is cleaned up and organized.

-Regarding satellites, list the satellites for each mtt in that particular mtt's lobby. This would make it so much easier to find satellites into bigger tournaments. It's a headache as is, and I'm discourages to find them on my own, to be honest.

-Step tournaments! These work greatly on bigger networks, why not implement them here?

-T$. Charge a vig for converting to cash (make it reasonable). This would encourage me to play more satellites, that's for sure.

Thanks,
xx

How about in the satellite tournament lobbies there be a link that says something like "This is a satellite to Tournament X", and when you click the link it brings you that tournament. Sometimes it's confusing to figure out what satellite goes to what tourney.

Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

It used to be that there was a choice between an information window and the chat window. The information window showed your place in the tournament, which is of vital importance at times. Now you have to open the lobby to see your place in a tourney, which is quite a problem when multi-tabling. Would it be possible to again make it possible to see the information window from the table, so you don't have to open another window to see your place in a tournament?

Are you allowed to play on two different screen names on Merge? I know you're allowed to switch affiliates but I don't know if you could then play on both screennames. Not at the same table, obv.

If you join different skins you have to use different screen names for each one. You can only play on one skin at a time though. If you try opening 2 different skins, you'll get an error message on the second one opened.

Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

So thought things were getting better then went through 3 hands of 6max plo:

hand 1: had big river decision but apparently the timebank starts standard with 3 seconds and hand autofolded in big pot.

hand 2: guy sitting in the upper left seat (6max) c/r'd a flop to $42.86 and the stack of chips covered up his stack size so assumed he had his normal 30bb stack instead of his actual 120bb stack and ended up making pretty huge shove mistake.

hand 3: dunno, client crashed.

F this

Oh yeah, and it's impossible to take notes now cus the table autofocuses when it's your turn to act, no idea how many times I've written "ckbk wk eq dry flp" in chat box....

Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

I noticed the auto focus issue. It seems like I was able to write on one monitor while playing on the other monitor without the auto focus taking it away. Now it doesn't work that way. Did something change and is there an option to click in settings that I can't find?

Re: **Merge Upgraded 6.0 Client FAQ & Feedback Thread**

basically zero issues over the last couple weeks since the last update. only thing I wish they would fix is being able to see who is sitting at a current table before going to the table or clicking the arrow.

How has the time bank not been addressed yet for cash game players?

I prefer to play a lot of short sessions. By the time I would get my time bank up I would be leaving.
