whatever they had to do, it'd be more professional if they released a statement before or even during, if it was a scheduled update.

but I don't think it is. Feels like some random technical glitch that they cant seem to fix.

If the main Merge server crashes due to an internet issue then it's really not that much different then FTP or Stars crashaments we've seen in the past and for Americans unfortunately won't see again (yes it's unfortunate because a crash while playing would mean we could play obv).

I guess it seems like forever when that is really the only network worth playing on right now.

The exact amount of time should be irrelevant, I'm a Software Developer past 5 years or so but servers are much easier to maintain nowadays with the current technologies out there (VmWare, etc.) and an operation so dependent on staying up / keeping games going should have no problem never being down for more than a brief period (minutes). They should have exact replicas of their servers they just turn on at another location if something goes wrong and plenty more things that I don't feel like typing. I work at a small operation and we have this capability.
