All the ssd is going to do is speed up access times on your hd.

So for instance, when you first start the program up it would load quicker. But once the assets are loaded into memory the bottleneck becomes other things.

I've never really noticed poker to be Harddrive read intensive.

IMO you'd be better off with more ram and a possible video card or cpu upgrade over simply getting a SSD.

How about this to test it out, how about you try an other MERGE skin with play money or something if you do not have real money account to test and see if it is the skin or your computer.

I got a new PC with windows 7 a couple months ago and whenever I play on lock poker it freezes like crazy. I have a 4 year old mac laptop that runs lock fine so I am suspecting it has something to do with windows 7. I wish I could figure out how to fix this on my new PC though.....

I uninstalled my Bit Defender Antivirus software on my PC and my tables have not frozen up since. It seems that the Antivirus software was incompatibale with the Lock software.
