That wasn't so hard was it guys.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I play on Merge. I play more than anyone volume wise. As a player I agree 100%. Looks like they didn't cover their bases on this one.

Forwarding this to all of the official 2+2 reps could help this issue be heard...

This may be the heart of the matter. You simply accepted it without checking to see if it meets either the letter of the rules put forth by merge or the spirit (which it clearly does not). You then justified it to yourself as a prudent 'business decision', as though that justifies breaking ones own Terms and Condtions. You seem to believe that everyone else should just accept it quietly as well. Others apparently disagree.

Also, yes, I justified it from a business standpoint. As a player, I simply stopped making custom games. I know what I was using them for, and I know why they (and Stars, etc) are charging more for custom games. To this end, I simply moved on.

That said, does anyone have an example of how Stars deals with this in their TOC? How they charge more for custom games? If we could get a hold of this policy, I could perhaps use this in my argument against this one...

I've never played the custom games on Stars, so I'm of no help there (and I feel like vomiting reading legalese, so I will leave it to others to search through the Stars TOC.

I took your posts as disengenuous as it was coming from someone who is an affiliate for Merge you are completely aware of the promotional material that they/you distribute and how it is worded.

To simply brush this off as "their decision" or "business decision" is just wrong, granted, you were creating games at HU $50/100 where VIP points and rakeback are nice little bonuses but in no way effect your bottom line in the games, I was playing HU $2/4 where it meant everything to my bottom line.

I don't mind that they charge a higher juice % for custom SNG's, as we are still getting our promised VIP points, so all is fair..

I never accused Merge of stealing, I have stated from the beginning that this is an obvious oversight, but nonetheless, needs to be addressed and resolved!

I would be thrilled if they did not even have custom tables and all the games were available in the regular tables.. give me $50 and $100 HU Omaha H/L SNG's and I would be thrilled, and create $2/4, $3/6 Omaha H/L Heads up tables and I'd never need to create them.. for god's sake why do we have these games available for Omaha High only but not H/L?? again just Merge oversight..

PokerStars awards points on their private tables. Yes, they charge higher rake, to encourage people to play the public games, and yes, it can end up being the same thing or even higher rates for players, but that's not the point here.

Advertising points on all real money games means you should give points for all real money games, anything less is pretty shady.

While the other main network continues to fumble, I'd like to see Merge get more consistent on things like this, it just gives fodder to those that like to say "oh well, Merge does shady stuff too."

And Disco, if Lock did this, you'd be all over it.

They have said they have no plans of making it right.. which is completely wrong!

This is totally untrue.

Merge are adding VIP points for custom tables. This was already confirmed in other threads.
