Does it say what currency it will be in? I have had gift cards sent to me from other sites (not merge) - and they were in a foreign currency. You paid $5 every withdrawl (no matter what amount, and you even got charged $5 to CHECK the balance at an atm). You also got hit with a very high exchange rate. For every 2K gift card, prob had about 1,840 dollars after fees. But again, this is not a merge site.

O ya, and this is prob also important. A few years after they started doing it the company got their money seized and no one could use the gift cards for months. The site in question did refund 100% of the money back into our poker accounts.

Does anyone have any recent updates with sportsbooks as far as withdrawls are concerned? I dont want to make a deposit and it takes about 60 days to get my monies ya dig. Appreciate feedback.

To those receiving giftcards...

Check out this post, it's likely you will be getting a card like this person did back in May.

has anyone noticed that transfer times has significantly increased over the last week? All of mine used to be instant, now they take anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours. Lately less than 30 min. Still annoying.

xfaers of 100 or more have always (last two months) taken more than an hour for me. Smaller amounts have been instant.

Well I got all my money out of online poker/casino sites except $1.50. I closed all my accounts so I won't be tempted to play again, til all this dies down. Recently sportsbook.com changed to sportsbook.ag (australia I believe). Just goes to show they might be next. I played on playersonly for the most part and they paid me out relatively quick (14 days). Just don't want any funds to get tied up online in case something happens to Merge like it did with FTP/Stars/AP and what not. Good luck to everyone who is trying to withdrawal.

It's weird there's no rhyme or reason to mine. My tiny ones take forever sometimes and large one approved in 15 minutes. Although other day had a 400+ one take 7 hours or so. Before everything I did was instant.

in my experience transfer time is a random number. also, transfers are rarely approved between 12am-7am est.

OK I have an issue... I finally got my check approved and I'm going out of town all or next week (Mon-Sun). If the check gets delivered next week, Fedex won't leave it and it will be there too long and they will return it to sender like another poster said. I DO NOT want that to happen considering it's been 5 weeks already.

Anyone have advice? Contact Fedex and tell them to hold it for longer? Would they do that? Have a neighbor sign for it? Tell them to just leave it anyway (put in mailbox)? Would any of these be viable options? Anyone with advice please let me know. Thanks.

$2500 check requested 5/30 still awaiting approval. Seems the batch of approvals from 6/29 were all sub $1000 and are being delivered via gift cards. So I guess I'm not included in these approvals. Someone mentioned they're waiting two months now on an approval. So crazy. With 12k locked up (I refuse to play), I'm looking at nearly a year to get my money if things don't change. I'm on PDC Poker, a small Merge skin that is basically identical to Carbon.

Someone living in the same house/apartment can sign for it.

A neighbor might be able to sign for it but the trick is to have someone available when the fedex guy arrives. Also it depends if the fedex guy is a stickler for details.

I vaguely remember calling fedex and having something rerouted to the local fedex office until I showed up to pick it up. However that might have been after I missed the first attempt.

Best bet is to call FedEx customer service for suggestions.

Hmmmm...if it has a 20 day time limit as per the link that might create a problem. I have a $2500 withdrawal that has been pending for 5 weeks now.

I guess I can pay the atm fees and withdraw as much as I can per day.
06-30-2011 , 03:33 PM
gift cards were only used for <1k amounts as of now, I would assume they did this to ensure those of us with pending checks >1k actually get them in a decent timetable

is it common knowledge that merge only processes payments on mondays? i didnt know this til i had a rep tell me this in an email.

Thank you for contacting us.

That is an internal status.

Check withdrawals are processed only on Mondays, with a 3 to 5 working days processing time. You will be notified by email when your withdrawal is approved or denied.

After waiting a month to have a 400$ check approved and told that i would be receiving a gift card, yesterday i requested another for 1,000$ and was sent an email today saying

"We are glad to inform you that, your account has been fully verified and that your pending cashout for the amount of $990.00 will be sent within the timeframe stipulated on our website.
Should you have any further concerns do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Carbon Poker"

Yet when i go to the cashier it says that the its still pending and gives me the option to cancel the transaction. I dont know whether this is a good sign or a bad one.. :-/

$2500 withdrawal on Black Chip still pending approval- been over a month already..

Question: If you have a bank account why bother with trying and getting a paper check when you can just use a wire transfer??? I withdrew $1200 from Sportsbook about a month ago and my wire transfer was in my account within a week. Just submitted another withdrawl, hoping that it goes as smoothly as before.

I would expect it to be pending since you just made the request. I would say a quick email response is a good sign, and as long as we can withdraw cash from ATMs with the gift cards without huge fees, I think those are fine too. (for amounts under $1000 at least)

Most of Merge has a very high minimum requirement on the wire transfer. Last I knew it was 10k. I did two 10k withdrawals earlier this year, but that was before Black Friday. Now I don't have enough left to use that option. :/
06-30-2011 , 06:24 PM
Just checked the Sportsbook cashier withdrawl options and bank transfer/wire transfer option has a minimum of $50. There is a fee associated with that so it would not be worth it. I have a never heard of 10k min cash out for wire transfer.
06-30-2011 , 07:47 PM
i deposited money onto lock and tried cashing out a few times for $2500 check never got it and then sent in my info to verify my account that didnt work either. I have heard cashing out threw the casino is the best option will be my next attempt. Also does anyone have a clue what is going on with this new vault thing on lock poker saying your money is safe and it is transferred to a safe place 15mins after you log off.

^That article is like 2 weeks old and unless im wrong, merge isnt ending deposits for US players, just new accounts for US players.
06-30-2011 , 08:44 PM
So is the withdrawal for merge faster than a few weeks ago now that they implemented the gift card payments? I play on Carbon Poker would it be any different please let me know if anyone have those information. Thanks in advance.
