Alright, now that I'm getting my money from PS, I am going to deposit on Merge. It's my belief that the best method to deposit is WU, correct?

I'm going to go with Carbon, RPM or Lock. Anyone have a preference? They all have the same players, it's just a different skin, right?

WU or UMW

Same player pool for whole network.

The skins break down to a matter of promotions and value depending on what you play.

If you are a volume grinder, Carbon is best- Top tier is about 80% effective rakeback before bonuses. See last few pages of Carbon thread- I broke it down.

Lock you can get the IPAD2 right now or what equates to 100 rb on first 1k of rake

RPM has great daily incentives and 40% total rb when you hit top tier- great for lower grinders/micros, lower bonus clearing points.

So do your homework.

Also , no matter where you play, pick an affiliate that has personal rake chases for the skin you choose. That is another 10%+ effective rakeback on top of the 35%, depending on volume. Make sure it is personal though- not overall rake race or rake chase. Several affiliates offer this.

re: *** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

Just wanted to make sure before I deposit if anyone can respond it would be greatly appreciated, merge doesn't use the same process of payouts that got FT and Pokerstars pwnd by the DOJ do they? I don't really care about waiting a month or whatever it takes to get a check, I just don't want to deposit on another site where my funds might get stuck (assuming online poker remains "legal" in the US but bank fraud obviously not.)

No. That is why it takes longer.

That being said, no 100% guarantee anything is safe. Use discretion.

Cashed out via bankwire on another merge skin during march madness and it took around 3 weeks with a $15 fee from my bank. They told me they were expecting delays back then though, so hopefully this will be processed quicker.

For those worried about depositing, I recommend opening up an account on a merge skin with a $50 no deposit bonus, they are not hard to find. Who needs rakeback for a low volume, temporary site?
what sites offer a $50 no deposit bonus?

RPM has I know- I just saw it in another thread. They all share the same processing so not to worry. I also know people who have received via UMW.

UMW = Use My Wallet, correct? Okay, I'm going to sign up to a merge poker room and then see if I can get an invite and try that method.

I do put in a decent amount of volume (~60k a month) so would you say Carbon is the way to go? You can REALLY get close to 80% rakeback??? That's crazy. That said, this might be significantly less at first since I was playing 13 tables on PS. I was also playing 10-25nl.. so I'm still at the micro levels.

Would this make Lock better? An Ipad2 sounds nice, but I have no need for it. Either way, I'm signing up tonight!

There have been many back ups where this is the case. They do always come ,though. It may just be a fact of life moving forward as options have been cut.

Also, keep in mind HOW the other sites got your money processed so quickly. Id personally rather be patient . EVeryone needs to factor in longer withdrawal times until the dust clears.

Only you can determine your needs. Research all options and decide.

18 tables ok on merge.
