Since I recently got a new debit card from my credit union, I decided I'd try to use it, since RPM keeps sending me spam about how easy it is to deposit now. I was super shocked to find the payment go through. Along with the RPM confirmation e-mail, I got one from abcde, who it seems is the processor.

I'll report it.

same I deposited $1,200 in August via WU.com using a credit card. WU called me with a few routine questions but was pretty easy. There was like $80 juice on it though, which I don't think you get in store.

But daddy needed a new pair of shoes.

FFS, don't post names of processors.

I was more concerned about letting other poker players know who might be handling their money. Since I'd seen the name before on the boards, I didn't think it was some giant secret that such company existed.

Just to give you an idea of what we deal with on a daily basis, and have for years now: Here's a most recent seizure of a processor (and likely our money since it was withdrawals) and is an active thread in NVG that was posted today. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...unity-1114972/

From this article

Online Gambling Seizures Result in Big Pay Day for Local Authorities

... Online gambling payment processors are proving to be profitable targets for Law Enforcements agencies in the US

The success of the investigation was due in part to the cooperation of players
in South Carolina that worked with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. According to Nettles, the players divulged the names of the processors sending them online poker proceeds and the time frames in which they expected their payments to be processed.
Naming processors, even if it doesn't hurt, rarely if ever adds anything meaningful to a discussion and having the name of the processor that just sent you your money forever stuck on the interwebs is just not a good idea. If you've seen someone else do this, please report it. Thanks.

If you didn't understand the weight and scope of this, it's all good. We all make mistakes. If you're of the opinion it doesn't matter, people that feel that way have been proven wrong by facts time and time again.

No, I agree my post should have excluded it, but I had reason for including it, and sometimes my reasoning might not agree with someone else's, or I didn;t have time to ponder the decision as long as someone else (or just might have forgot reading something earlier). So I have no problem, and would have editted it out had I seen the request before a mod did.

But...not to derail my intent with such discussions. I just want to say Merge managed to make deposits easy for me today, where they couldn't a month ago, so hopefully others will find themselves similarly successful.

Just a general question; Does anyone know why we can't deposit money into our accounts when we have a pending withdrawal? I busted my account for the 2nd time to bigguy playing some drunken fish-tilt $25-50 PLO (it was a super fun time) and want to re-deposit (I know I can just use the transfer thread...), but I have had my withdrawal pending since the 9th of Sept. and just don't feel like canceling it because receiving checks makes me feel special. I also want my reload bonus

Cliffs: Why can't we deposit when we have a pending withdrawal?

Also from the article- Prime Investment, LTD and Trading 24/7 LTD were the targets of the investigation that revealed more than $40m in online poker proceeds were transferred into to the US between Oct. 2010 and Feb. 2011 from these two companies.

If he's a good friend, you can do the trade (and guarantee it) on his behalf. FYI, there seem to be a lot of people wanting to deposit on BCP.
10-20-2011 , 09:03 PM
interestingly (for you) he's a very successful trader so while I don't think he'd stiff me, I'd rather he deposit himself.

What options are available these days?

And what is a green-dot Visa Card and where do you get one?
10-20-2011 , 11:03 PM
green dot does not work for any site, you need the visa with "VisaGiftCard" on it, they are called the Gift2Go cards and are all yellow at walgreens.
10-20-2011 , 11:05 PM
so far it has not worked for me

No, apparently you just have to get lucky with them, also I just did a western union transfer and it said it was denied for some reason, waiting to hear back from support. :/
10-21-2011 , 02:07 PM
Just heard back from support and they said there was an error with the name I wrote, I sent it to the exact name given and attached a pic of the copy of the western union paperwork. Quite annoying to say the least, have spent $20 in fees so far just to get cash online and its still not there.
10-21-2011 , 02:14 PM
Thanks for the heads up.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Western Union has worked perfectly for me every time so I have to think it will get sorted.

I grind on lock but want to put an amount smaller than 100 on another site which is why I'm trying to figure out which cards work. The answer is none apparently.

Lol.
10-21-2011 , 02:26 PM
Yeah you are much better off doing a p2p transfer.
