*** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

Hey, so obv the merge network is getting a lot more traffic and i know there are support threads, but i thought it would be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to deposit/withdrawal success as it should help with the inflow of inquiries with the success rate and speed of deposits/withdrawals. Basically to mirror the ftp and stars cashout threads where posts are limited to

"Requested withdraw via X on X/XX
Approved X/XX
Received X/XX"

Should help shape public knowledge of the climate of transactions and not clutter up other threads. Also im under the assumption that all skins should mirror each other on the same network wrt deposits/withdrawals, if not i guess have multiple threads or state the skin you are using in your post.

re: *** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

Another one?

Nice idea, but they are reporting it in the Carbon thread (for some strange reason), and not all skins use the same cashier (Carbon, RPM, Poker Nordica, etc. Main Cashier - Play Aces, some of the many I see listed on the side on Pokerscout - their own cashier).

So, a Merge Network Cashout thread wouldn't be that helpful UNLESS you state the skin and if its network cashier or not (and how many user's jumping on the bandwagon know that).

re: *** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

I'm thinking of starting on merge and I feel this thread will be necessary. I'm specifically interested in withdrawals because I only plan on depositing once since I'm pro and know how to manage a bankroll online without going bust. So if people could update with withdrawals success/failure, I think it'll help alot of people.

^ya i edited my OP about dif skins since idk how that actually works yet. And i havent seen a thread limited to this so it just seems easier to have one dedicated to personal deposit/withdraw requests to better understand the climate of transactions. If different skins use different methods either A)split threads or B) name skins in post. It would also be very helpful to name methods used, if that is a good idea and not akin to using bank names/processor names

I know with the large influx of players from an INDEPENDENT CLIENT (FTP, Stars, Bodog), many of you are not familiar with the concept of networks.

I have to go for Easter dinner Soon, and I have 3 cats to feed (reminds me of that Arnold movie).

Networks lease space to skins. They have the option of using the network player interface, or their own. They have the option of using the Network cashier, or their own. They have the option of using the network help system, or their own.

Each option they take from the network, costs them more money above and beyond the lease.

Which is why the DOJ will have a hard time here.

If you don't know how your skin is related to the Merge Network itself, I suggest:
  1. Immediately stop playing hands
  2. Do some google research on your skin
  3. Find out which method of cashier they are using, if they don't tell you, then run.
  4. Reputable affiliates should really be offering only skins using all of the above from the Merge Network.
  5. Look up PDC (Poker Dot Com), for Merge information.

You will feel a LOT better, once you have this information.

re: *** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

Thanks for the info futureinsights....ill do more research on poker networks when i get a chance, i admittedly know very little about how multi skin networks are run. Are you saying this thread is obsolete because its impossible to know specifics wrt methods or are you saying that posts need to be more specific wrt to skins and deposit/withdrawal methods? Just trying to set up a thread where we can get quick feedback, thats all.

I think this is a good idea even if you have put something like:

skin: Carbon/Lock/RPM
type: Check/Wire/UMW...
req: xx/xx
rec: xx/xx

Granted it seems like a lot more than im used to in the FTP xfer thread. But I would like to see this even if I have to sort through some replies that aren't the same method or skin as me.

i like this thread idea, once i get my roll off stars/tilt, i'll be looking to look elsewhere and i'd like to see how smoothly the different merge skins work...agree that format should include skin name as stated above

re: *** Merge Network deposit/withdrawal discussion thread***

afaik most skins use the merge cashier. Carbon/Aced/PDC use the merge cashier, Lock and RPM as well. With those skins you have 90% of all the 2+2 merge players covered I think. If you play on a different skin, do some research.

Keeping track of how long withdrawals take is useful but keep in mind that Merge has always been very slow in payouts, even to Neteller and Moneybookers to non-US players. The current situation where Merge is flooded with new players will not improve this obviously so odds are you can wait two weeks for your money.
That is the disadvantage of this thread. People will read this, notice 'nobody gets paid' and start mass withdrawing their funds as well, delaying stuff more.
Last year, before PlayersOnly/Sportsbook joined Merge there was a 'bankrun' on Merge and their traffic halved in a month. From 400 avg on Pokerscout to 200 avg on Pokerscout iirc. Everybody got paid and they survived.
Currently the Pokerscout average is 1360 so it is safe to assume they can honor all payouts now as well, they are just terribly slow. That is a bad thing but I think it is in the best interest of all US players to give them a chance before flooding support and start panic everywhere. Just dont depend on Merge money for your bills untill you get a firm grasp on how long cashouts take.

^trolls gonna troll and retards gonna retard(not you, the people that w/d and dont get money in 2 days and come here talking retarded ****). Doesnt mean we shouldnt have a general idea/consensus on the speed/efficiency of transactions. The same people that insta panic over 2 posts saying "zomg been a week and a day" are the same people who read some nvg thread titled "doj coming to your house tomorrow pack your **** now!" And take it seriously. Just saying. For the rational people, i think its a good idea to see a volume of posts that are consistent and give an idea of how efficient transactions are processing, worked well for ftp/ps transactions ime.
