So Sportsbook paid me twice via bitcoin by accident and want the second payment sent back. What would you guys do?

Send it back minus a 5% "bitcoin fee"

Haha. Now the problem is the market has fluctuated so the BTC is worth less as well.

I'd just send the exact amount of btc back to them then. I definitely wouldn't send extra btc so they get the correct dollar amount back.

I also received a duplicate withdraw. You should have received an email stating that they were removing the applicable amount from your account balance. The email I received is from "Sam" and the subject line is "CID *string of numbers*". There's nothing identifying the email as being from Merge support or even poker related.

Pretty unacceptable imo. Luckily for me the withdraw that was duplicated was a small amount but if it had been the size I normally do it would have drawn my account down to 10 BIs (I usually keep 20 on the site) and there would be a much bigger risk of busting the account and having to re-deposit. At that point I'd have paid withdraw fees for money that I then had to re-deposit.

Confirm that the bitcoin transaction clears first via confirmations (and not double-spending) Assuming this has already completed, send them the amount back minus bitcoin fees and state the amount you send back and that you deducted the mining fees on your end as you were not at fault.

So I haven't done anything yet.. They haven't emailed me again. Hypothetically, if I didn't send it back what do you think would happen? I'm just curious.. Ive had opinions from both sides. My buddy who gambles sports on the site told me to wait it out, and if they don't contact again then treat it as a ground score haha.

If your account balance is $0, they don't have any recourse other than to black list your account, where future deposits would be deducted from your balance. I'm assuming you wouldn't give them the opportunity to do that though.

With that being said, they made a mistake and you're in a position to either correct it, or steal money that isn't yours. It's an ethical decision that seems pretty simple to me, but I guess everybody is different.

Would have been a pretty interesting situation if they had sent a duplicate wdraw to someone they'd just banned...

Seems mandatory for you to only return 95%. That's how bitcoin works.

They're now telling me that they need the money back from my duplicated withdraw, even though they previously told me they deducted the amount from my account balance. And now that I'm banned from the site, I can't login to to the game client to confirm that they did in fact debit my account for the amount of the mistakenly sent withdraw, which I'm pretty sure they did.

Hi XXXXXXX,

This note is to inform you that by error we processed your withdrawal ID 5211768 twice; therefore we have removed the duplicated amount from your gaming account.

damn I really like to software, but bunk the 5% BTC withdrawal fees?! anyone get the feeling they MAY do away with it at some point? (or is it really part of their business model now...)

the wd fee is offset by a deposit reload (available every month). games are pretty good at carbon so test the waters and decide if it's for you.
