Hey guys, I'm new here and just had a quick question. I'm a U.S. player and received the following message from Carbon Poker after waiting 3 months for a withdrawal check to be issued:

---"IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION - We have been notified that when deposited through a ATM machine some banks are unable to accept the checks as they are issued by a Bank outside the United States. We would stress to you that all checks should be deposited to your account manually. Additionally, we would reiterate that you should not indicate the check has any relationship to online gaming."---

The last part about not mentioning online gaming seemed odd for them to tell me. I wasn't going to, but is it standard for them to mention this? Something about it just seemed weird to me.

I am assuming that there are people that have said they won it from playing online poker thus they won't cash said check. So many in fact that they have to tell everyone?

Bitcoin is easier for withdrawals than checks. Just sayin.

Thanks Whitelextown. I'm looking into Bitcoin for future withdrawals. Appreciate the response.

That's a standard message that's basically attached to or implied with every withdraw of poker funds from any U.S. site via any method. Don't mention poker, period.

Hopefully, you misprinted the sequence. Thinking about it, you must have. I don't believe there is any way to link Blockchain to your Bank. So Circle is your link to your Bank. Correct?

Ah yes exactly. Sorry I'm still wrapping my head around the whole thing. Also there is a reload bonus right now so when you make your BTC deposit on Carbon you get a little extra cash. Boom.

So far I'm really impressed with the attention to detail when it comes to making sure all the transactions are secure. Text message confirmation codes to your cell phone, generating new addresses every time you send BTC, etc. It seems that one of the biggest misconceptions with BTC is that it is not secure, but so far it doesn't look that way to me. So far I'm a believer.

Anything involving money should always include some kind of double verification. I'm actually surprised all poker sites haven't implemented it to tbh.

How do you get bitcoin deposits and withdrawals enabled on the site? I couldn't find any info on their website.

Make a small ($10) bitcoin deposit. Bitcoin option usually available within 3 days. If not, make another small btc deposit.

So if I have 2k in Blockchain can I send that all to circle at once and then transfer it all to bank account or do I have to wait and do it $300 at a time??? Trying to get it all out at once and the fastest way possible. Thanks for the help

You can send the 2K to circle in 1 sum. The $300 refers to the (weekly?) deposit limit on circle. Just don't go over $3000 in 1 transaction to circle from blockchain at a time. Then you will run into higher fees.

I've only seen posts about verification on circle deposit limits.

Thanks for all the help! One more thing...how long does it generally take for the bitcoins to hit your Blockchain account???
