They enjoy being competitive, and challenged.

Cash game traffic has slowly but steadily been declining since Black Friday. Merge was #1 place for Cash Games after Black Friday and through constant and consistent poor decisions they've allowed Bodog/Bovada/Ignition to pass them a couple of years ago and more recently ACR/Blackchip and Chico are doing better.

It's a shame. They still have the best software.

I see where you must earn VIP points for deposit rollovers, but I can't find how they are accumulated and/or where
my current VIP points are located in the software. Help?

IIRC your balance is displayed in the re-buy tournaments box when one re-buys or adds-on.

Works fine for me, do you have the HUD configured for Carbon?

Well, well, well. 10 table restricted. Nine preregistered. Playing 1 with 2 OPS in next 1/2 hour. Three tables my personal max anyway. On a side note- 30 seat satty into Sun $22 OPS 25K Main Event cancelled last week due to 20+ entrants. Thirty needed to start. C'mon folks. Let's get this baby off the ground Sat. 3 pm EST.

Pretty sure the 10 table limit is network wide, not any player to player.

For that to go off the ground they should try starting it later 3 est is pretty early.

Well, well, well. :-) Noticed that freerolls are back. You need 50 player points 7 days before the registration to qualify. They are not announced on the promo page but there is one today at 4pm PST - called "Daily Free $100". So I assume that means daily "until further notice"

Good to see that in addition to the new U.S. sign ups, some old regs are back, i.e. DiamondDixie and 1Troy1.

Less than 70 minutes to start time and only 10 folks registered in this $3 satellite.

Where is the tournament structure on Merge? Specifically, I am trying to find what the levels of payouts are vs the amount of entries in a tournament.

Thanks in advance for any help

Most tournaments are 5,000 starting stack w/10 min levels. Guessing 1 entry paid for every 7.5-9 entrants. A couple mega stack (15,000) tournies on Sun w/same ballpark ratio. What I like are certain tournaments hit the money within 30 min. of the bubble bursting. The evening $11 5K in particular. I've noticed that when bubble bursts, close to 1 out of 2 left get paid. Others that pay closer attention to these matters can probably answer your question better. I made a post several weeks ago about 1 player who regularly registers at the last moment in the Sun. big boy and other mega tournaments. Even w/4-5BB it seems he cashes at least half the time w/the occasional deep run, in the big boy, making that a +EV play for him. I just don't have the heart or bankroll for that variance. But, watching his success at it has been giving me thoughts. Late reg is 2 hr 20 min to 3 hr.

Thanks goodsaint. Most other sites have a breakdown of payouts vs entries. Seems weird that Merge doesn't do the same. The scenario you laid out is kind of the reason I was asking. I see that most tournaments at the last half hour are not too far off from the money, if I knew the break points I would crash some of them. I did it with one of the ones in the current series. They paid 54 places, I registered with 6 minutes to go, hit FT, and got knocked out in 7th. I entered the game on accident, thought it was a different one and got lucky.

Definitely a suspicious player and worthy of a report, Though not sure which games he is playing now but he used to play only limit holdem which is a rather easy game to design or purchase a GTO bot for.

LiQuEar3 to me seems pretty suspicious, He takes about the same time to act every time, haven't seen him use his time bank. Never seen him chat.

Same.

Him and a few other Italians also rarely put it on auto-post while waiting for a player to join but even if they're on a bunch of tables with action, they continue to "manually" click post at around the same time interval for as long as someone clicks to sit in.

If an opposing player continued to click 'sit in' but never post their blind over and over again for 15+ minutes and the Italian player is blatantly willing to play against anyone, I think any sane human being would either A) Just click auto post B) Say something in chat C) Both.

So far all of the Italians I've seen don't do any of the above. Not to mention they all share extremely similar and unorthodox flop+turn play styles, don't accept friend invites on the client, rarely talk, and don't perform any type of game selection whatsoever. IMO they're all beyond suspicious but I don't feel like any sort of worthwhile investigation will ever be done on Merge's end.

Maybe if we all put in at least a complaint to investigate something I might happen. I could be totally wrong about this but would at least feel better if there was an investigation.

Agreed. I've already contacted Merge support a while ago and they quickly replied that nothing suspicious was found.

As far as bots, I think PabloEmilioEscobar could be put under the suspicious category. No solid data though.
