I've seen him talk once, not that it's saying a ton. Very good player.

difficult to play against doesn't make him a good player. also chatting doesn't mean he's not a bot. merge has a clean and resource friendly interface, would make it extremely easy to put a bot on this network.

Yes its, Carbon WE ALL SUCK. Maybe that is what people want to see. Lets join the media, only negative press please.

Oh well I guess this means I'll have to 4 table on Carbon + pull up a couple tables on ACR. Might even be a blessing in disguise since this will force me to tighten up my game selection for the best value. Although having both clients open simultaneously makes me misclick like a mother****er...

Was just able to sit at 6 cash tables. Ban lifted?

I was just able to open 5 tables so that's nice.

Well that little experiment didn't even last as long as the HUD ban.

I really do think it was a bug. Even with the 4 game limit, if you messed and clicked enough you were able to get to six, the support told me the account was not restricted in the first place.

I really wish Merge would get a 'confirm entry' button when you click to register. Clicked on the wrong register button and realized it a split second too late.

Tuxedo used to only play Fixed LHE and was reported by a group of regulars to be a bot, An investigation underwent and he was not allowed to play for several weeks.

Played 100% like a bot and mass tabled every game taking exactly a couple seconds before each action on every table and never talked in the chat unless someone called him a bot.

He was also reported to have another account LiQuEar3 both players from Italy with identical vpip / PFR / 3-Bet among other statistics > 10k hands.

Definitely a suspicious player and worthy of a report, Though not sure which games he is playing now but he used to play only limit holdem which is a rather easy game to design or purchase a GTO bot for.

what are you basing this statement on? seems absolutely clueless. if you have ever played against bots that have been banned, which in fairness is unlikely if you're bumhunting U.S. facing networks, or have read any of the countless threads here on 2p2 that look into bots you would know his stats actually match up with bot stats to a tee. doesn't really help his case when he's on 24/7 playing endless amounts of tables. never denies HU action always willing to play 3+ tables HU as well.

Can you link some of those threads or summarize how you can tell a bot from stats?

I don't have an opinion either way, I did notice however that he took super very odd lines in a couple hands i played with him but i never really thought he was a bot

Hard to explain what was so odd about the lines he took but they made almost no sense and seemed very out of place. Haven't played with him lately though since he only been playing 1/2 lately

Thanks for the info.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, a bunch of regs on Merge reported him for being a bot on the limit tables and after Merge investigated they temporarily banned him for a few weeks but now allow him to play again? Or was his account shut down while they investigated (which seems unlikely) and they couldn't find any wrongdoing?

It's also interesting that you say he is somehow connected to the LiQuear account as both have shown up together fairly recently in the 1/2 NL games.

Stop giving action to anyone with non-US accounts that you deem suspicious. There could certainly be botting and colluding with players that have a US location but nearly every time there's a problem, it's someone from Italy or Germany or Spain or wherever.

So just don't play any 6max or full ring table that doesn't entirely consist of US accounts?

The 2 accounts were not allowed to sit together after the investigation. I can't find all the screenshots but these were my hands on them, Identical stats.

Both players from Italy and play in the exact same manner.

Even if you find empirical evidence they are bots or colluding Carbon customer support is terrible and it took them weeks to do anything in the first place.

Their loose style and super high 3bets/occasional wtf line that others have mentioned ITT sounds a lot like the Italian bot ring that crushed FTP midstakes back in the day where they played for ~1 year+ before FTP finally found that they were high level bots. I think the total ring of 4-5 bots ended up sucking out around $1 million from the midstakes games ($2/4-$5/10).

Sadly, I agree with you that Carbon support is completely useless so I would encourage anyone reading this to keep a close eye on these 2 players and any other Italian player that happens to pop up and play a similar style. All we can do is track their stats/lines/timings and report them as much as we can to both Carbon support and the community.

LOL of course not but you can limit their action by not playing HU, 3-handed, etc. I mean if Merge refuses to do anything about it what else can you do? Still, I wouldn't give up on reporting anything suspicious. Keep your head on a swivel.

TBH I think this is precisely when you should be playing against an account like this since, if it is a bot, it's ranges and plays shouldn't be fine-tuned for shorthanded and HU play.

Assuming they are bots does not mean we assume they are inexploitable- quite the contrary actually if you take a look at a guy like Tuxedo's stats.

Solid point. Guess I was just looking for a way to give 'em the virtual finger but my suggestion was more of a 'take your ball and go home' reaction.

Sorta fishy occurence tonight on the 50nl cash tables. R4INMAN and R4NT4NP14N playing together on tables, both from Austria, both have near identical stats in my db. Like, really really similar.
