in an earlier post i said they wouldnt cancel the "2-a-Days" promotion after it went the whole month. yeah they probably canceled it.

im asking this here because i'd like answers from a sample of people who chose to play on Carbon:

Why didn't you choose to play on Bovada (compared to how Merge USED to be)?

b/c they want to dissolve their poker site apparently surprised they didn't close shop and tell everyone to cashout instead of making everyone voluntarily cashout

I stopped playing when they eliminated rakeback and then raised rake. I kept hoping that they would do something to make me want to play there again. I don't think that is going to happen. The heat must be on for them to fragment the network like this so suddenly.

i went to my dashboard today to see if they were running one for october and the "click to activate promo" button was there.

i haven't received my entry ticket for september yet. im sure we'll get it. but after 3 consecutive months of qualifying for it, im done. the site has only gotten worse since depositing on july 1st. i think im done with carbon after this month.

and their sportsbook is total aids. after a quick glance it looks like you can only bet spreads/totals. no teasers or parlays that i noticed.

You can bet Parlays in the "Prop Card" section.

the only other explanation (and this is possible) is that it was some1s job to go through the lobby and delete every tournament that said "freeroll". the 2aDays was a freeroll we qualified for, but they mistakenly deleted that too.

but the fact that no coupon has showed up yet makes me lean towards it was canceled.

if anyone else has qualified, i suggest you talk to live support. maybe complain a little and see if they'll offer you coupons or something.

Just cash out and play on Carbon or Aced... simple.

I heard the dollar dazzler does not have a 30K add on anymore. I remember maybe a month ago it was like this for a day or so and people complained and carbon chris or ryan said it was a mistake and they will fix it. This would happen once in a while for certain tournys besides this one. Different starting stack sizes,late reg times and blind levels. Then they would change them back after a few days.

In hindsight it seems that they were just seeing how the change affected the turnout or play in the tourny to see if it would be a good change for them.

Also:I think Bovada will get a nice pick up in traffic. I have seen many people say they are going to move there and I am probably moving most of my roll over there also.(wish the roll was bigger)

Hopefully, that support staff member is misinformed, which would not be unprecedented. If I recall correctly, the 2-a-day usually shows up a couple days before it is to take place -- the 2nd weekend of the month. If it does not happen, I will certainly ask for something of comparable value.

anyone know who this markdube is never seen anyone run as good as him besides 1troy1 coming in 2nd, but at least he admits he runs very well. Just seems odd i dont know i could be wrong. Any thoughts?

disappointed in all the changes thus far and separating the skins even more with no warning. Maybe worth playing a little on the weekend but looks like its Bovada time at least till Winning get some good MTTs going.

What they did with the VIP change was very deceptive and extremely disrespectful to their customers. They simply cannot be trusted to honor their promotions.

I'm not going to say I'll never play there again, but I am utterly disappointed by Carbon/Aced and will be taking a break and seriously exploring other poker options.

edit: To be clear, I'm fine with them making changes as long as they honor existing promotions and programs, which they certainly did not in this case.

I don't get how everyone is just gonna move to Bovada now. They don't have a vip system at all!! so how is that better? I can't see how any MTT regs will be able to play wit no synch breaks and the annonymous setting. WPN looks like their moving up but their software is still pretty far behind.

Playing Cash game is no brainer over there. With the better vip and also some people with the 35% rakeback still.

Yeah, hopefully the support person is wrong which is pretty common. His reasoning is flat out insane. The promotion was last month. The prize was the freeroll. They are, in fact, cancelling the prize, not the promotion. They can't retroactively cancel a promotion. That's like running a tournament and then not awarding the prize money because they decided to cancel the tournament after the tournament was over.

i talked to a poker support rep about the 2aDays. he said he would check into it.....couple minutes of silence......then he admitted he didn't know what was going on. said he was sending a ticket to their technical staff (or something?) and they would e-mail me an answer.

but to be clear, i think they canceled it because they canceled all the other freerolls (even though they're different). i wouldn't expect to have the tournament reinstated or any type of compensation. maybe they prove me wrong.

also, when you want someone to help you, it's generally not a good idea to call them "scum". just sayin....
