Most of the MTT grinders are on Carbon and Poker Host anyway, I seriously doubt Sportsbook and Players Only not running most of the gtd MTTs will make that much difference. Especially the higher stakes players. I just hate that we lose the sports betting fish who like to gamble. :S

We (the 3 or 4 of us who gave feedback on the new schedule) were told the gtds would be conservative in the beginning since the gtds would be the same on each night. They will watching these closely and adjust accordingly. The best thing we can do is play the MTTs we would normally play and once Merge sees the gtds are being exceeded I'm sure they'll be increased.

As for the new VIP system, I agree it does suck but bottom-line Merge is kind of like Rockefeller, when you more or less have a monopoly on US play or have so little competition you can pretty much do what the *** you like. When it comes to MTTs they're the best there is. Bovada is def running them a close second but I have to go to the bathroom sometimes and until they get synch'd breaks I just can't stand to play there much. If I'm playing cash I'll be playing on Winning where I get 35% rakeback (it's normally 27% or their very good Stars like VIP system but I was grandfathered at 35% when BlackChip moved from Merge).

Anyone know how to disable pop ups from carbon in the main lobby? It blocks my filtered cash/sng/mtt lobby tabs....So freaking annoying. I know about the new MTT schedule, dont need them to give me a constant reminder.

ps It blocks the support tab too....so I cant even ask them lol

I have to admit when I am wrong and I love the new schedule so far. So many 10 minute blinds for low stakes. so much better than 3 and 5.

Yea that is something that is a huge improvement, before hand you could probably count the number of $5.50 and below freezeouts that had more than 5 minute blinds with your fingers in the entire day before this new change.

This new schedule is pretty sick on Carbon though. Losing the vip % does suck but with more tourneys to grind might end up making more for MTT grinders. All the new sattelittes to bigger tourneys are alot cheaper and way more worth it now.

I took a quick look and hate the new MTT structures for PLO and PLO8. Antes should have never existed on these MTT structures in the first place, but now they're on all of them. Please get rid of antes in these structures!

At least HORSE MTTs don't have antes in LHE and LO8 now...

sngs and DONs were already low ROI format , on top of this they decided to screw sng player's cash backs

Lots of negative feedback on VIP status, and rightly so, but credit Merge and player reps for awesome new structures. Deep nightly mtts playing great thus far.

So what happened with merge was they suddenly downgraded all the bonuses for everyone without saying anything?

They really need to lower late reg duration on the nightlies. Lol at the 11 late regging til 11:45 eastern. I live on the west coast and I'm still hesistant to play.

I was able to use the iphone webclient without any problem on iPad, back when the beta started. Haven't tried recently.

if theres one thing about merge i think they should look into is the late registaration. could you guys extend it by about an hour, i always seem to show up JUST after 3 hrs in and barely miss them.

Does anyone know the answers to these questions?

1.) What reason did 2+2/Carbon give for taking down the subforum? Are the 2+2 Carbon reps no longer around?

2.) Has anyone got an answer from Carbon about the VIP level/point redemption issue? Top tier players will now have piles of points that they can't use if they can only change $250 into cash a month.

1) None. Correct.
2) There is no issue as far as Merge is concerned. They just made more money.

I sure hope the huge fish are invited to top tier and the games become as soft as Bovada used to be, but I just don't think fish think like that. If they really considered value and such before they deposited then they would be less likely to play bad.

Merge has made their intentions clear regarding the grinder vs. rec model and I can't say I blame them. It's good business for them but unfortunate for some of us. Hopefully, some interstate compacts will soon (1-2 years??) render these issues moot.
