Never once have I ever said anything negative to kahn until he threw a tantrum a few posts up about people speaking the truth about Merge... It's not like anything I or anyone else has said isn't true. I think he brings a lot of useful info to the table, but it gets a bit old when people making money from new customers signing up paint blue sky's when it isn't. Nothing wrong w/ what he does as long as he doesn't manipulate half truths and berate people for giving honest and unbiased opinions.

Listen, I'm not going to sidetrack this thread. But no one is painting rainbows with pots of gold at the end for Merge. But truth is something backed up by factual information. The information I help with is statistical, for the most part. That speaks for itself. I know it's not the "oh, a couple players reported 35-day cashouts, so Merge must be going broke" type of talk that gets a lot of play around here.

I'm heading to bed, but I actually posted real, statistical information a couple days ago in the Merge W/D thread. No slant, no dressing. Just the actual player data on payouts from the last 8 months - and not all of it is pretty. So look at the whole picture, and maybe you'll see why a little frustration for having to deal with people who like to tear stuff down without much if any proof comes out now and again.

EDIT #2: And for the record, since I quoted you in that link above, there's been two others who've reported payouts in 10 days or less via check on Merge so far this month. 5 days and 10 days, respectively. See what I'm talking about?

I don't know if you are aware of this but not too many months ago Kahn had no bigger supporter than me. A lot of members even seemed to think that I worked for Kahn. But ever since the subforum closed he has used that event as an opportunity to stifle criticism of Merge, very often using a very condescending tone and constantly calling anyone who disagrees with him a troll. A few months ago he even sent me a pm telling me that I was a troll.

He's used the Carbon Rep vacuum to step into CarbonRyan's shoes; but he has become the anti-CarbonRyan. His own financial interest has gotten the better of him. He intermingles real information that he has with either biased opinions or downright false information, like his silly contention that the network would triple in size if the site were desegregated; thereby whitewashing the history of Merge's bad business decisions as if nothing needs to be corrected. Just a few posts ago you can see that he stated that I don't play on Merge when he knows perfectly well that I do, just so he could diminish my posts as just that of a troll.

I'm just a player speaking my mind. I have absolutely no financial interest in all of this other than that of a player. When Kahn acts in the players' interest I will support him; when he works in his own interests at the cost of the players I will criticize him. None of my posts on 2+2 have any kind of hidden agenda or are grudge induced.

You're clearly only seeing all of this from one side of the fence. But you're entitled to your opinions. I don't think, though, that it is your place to tell someone else to find something more useful to do; with all due respect.

the event he wanted to use them for had already passed, but a couple days later Carbon gave him 2 $109 coupons.

and the reason the sudden change to the VIP system shouldn't be labeled stealing is poker rooms ARE stealing right now. Lock is stealing >$1,000,000. poker rooms have closed down and stole all deposits.

Carbon should not be lumped in with scum sites that actually have/are stealing from players.

Just because Lock is stealing the entire pie doesn't make it right for Merge to steal a slice or two here and there. There's varying degrees of theft in the world.

i would like to speak for the micro cash game players, a year ago i was playing 10-12 hrs/day, mostly FL 5 draw, 7 stud, razz, horse. all of those games are gone or changed to higher [pot] limit, screwing dozens of players i saw on the tables every day. i started on merge playing freerolls, at first mostly $200, they they lowered the payout to $50, but i enjoyed free money,esp the horse turny. then the freerolls all vanished, and the fun step sngs, thus precluding any players from ever freerolling their way into a miniscule bankroll. i guess i'll keep playing about an hour a day at the hateful game of NLHE to get my 2 points a day for the only freeroll on carbon, and pray for the day when stars and tilt come back.ubfortunate, but i probably won't live that long

Can we just stop with this arguing over the same crap. It does nothing but bog down the thread for people who are looking for actual information, and it makes it far more difficult to recommend improvements that could possibly be made to the site. (Idk if the latter ever happens but it can't hurt).

You can get a free check up to $2500 per month, right? $30k a year, $60k in two. Plus, you can pay a fee to do more checks each month and if you have that much $ in your account, the fee should be negligible. What am I missing?

You can't have more than 1 check pending at a time. I wasn't complaining about cash outs, just responding to the dolt saying "If you don't want to play here cash out and GTFO." 5 or 6 months from now hopefully I'll finally be done waiting for checks so I can leave.

Fwiw, I'd love to enjoy playing Merge, it's my fav American site. Everything I've ever complained about itt are legitimate concerns that people need to be aware of. Sorry, I'm not going to sit quietly while I get it in the arse by this network that I've been loyally grinding 50+ hours a week for almost 3 years. You guys may be content with a site bleeding traffic across all games, but I'm not. Especially considering a decent size of my overall bankroll is stuck on this site and I have no way of getting much of it for a long time.

I think many of us are pretty mad. I stopped playing for 6 months after rakeback was removed due to lack of motivation. But, there's only so much complaining we can do before it's redundant.

You are missing the fact that they don't send more than one check per month and this guy needs half a dozen or so. They restrict you to one check pending at a time. It takes a month if lucky to get one check. He can't request six checks. So he's pissed off at the site because he can't cash out and they are ****ing everything up. That's what you are missing. If he ever get's all his money I consider him to be fortunate at this point. I guess he will know in about six months or so. Do you know how frustrating it is to wait half a year for your own money? Why would you keep playing on a site if you can't cash out your winnings in a timely manner? Often the checks they do send out bounce. Do you get what you are missing? He has every right to be active in this thread and to voice his concerns and opinions. Anyone telling him to GTFO are idiots. Players need to be in these threads. If anyone needs to GTFO it's the affiliates that have taken over and try to control all info in this thread, oh, in the name of being "helpful" for their '40%'.

And this reasoning is exactly why America as a whole is so ****ed up. If you want to quietly sit by while they destroy this network more and more that's your choice. This is how I make my living and this network used to be the best option for me to do that. I'm not going to quietly let them destroy my livelihood along with their network. Especially when 1/3 my BR is stuck here and not going to be in my possession anytime soon.

I wouldn't really GAF that it's taking a month if there was games to play. I play HU cash and MTTs. There is like 6 MTTs worth playing a night for me and I used to get in 20+. As far as HU cash goes I rarely get any action at the stakes I play and I actively sit the regs. Not only is a huge portion of my BR on this site, but it's sitting there not being used.
