Lagging hardcore at the moment during cash games.

Question about the bitcoin 5% fee people here are mentioning. Would that be waived for my first "free cashout" of the year? If not I'm thinking I should switch for another method that is free.

Edit: Answer my own question via live chat. If anyone else is interested, bitcoin ALWAYS comes with the fee. I guess I will be patient and wait for a bank wire

Are there any other sites that charge a fee on bitcoin withdrawals? Maybe Chico, but they at least allow one free w/d per month. Bovada/WPN surely don't.

You don't have to defend Merge on everything; it shouldn't be hard to accept that it's a ridiculous policy.
Im not defending anything and if u think the policy is ridiculous thats fine. Im not getting into comparing whatever other sites do because it is not relevant.

They can charge whatever they want. You can choose whatever withdraw method you want or can choose to play where you want.

Actually, in this case it is relevant due to the fact that Bitcoin transactions do not really trigger any transaction fees.

Anyone know what's up with the 25nl player CardRackerAAA? They play all day everyday but just seem to lose overtime. Almost to the point where it's just a site bot or something to keep tables going.

It's still irrelevant, they can charge whatever they want and don't have to justify it by anything other than "processing costs money"

Doesnt matter if you sending larry bitcoin doesn't cost anything. It may cost them something and they can charge what they want and they don't have to break that down for anyone.

So how come nobody else charges anything significant for Bitcoin processing? What makes Merge so special? Apart from their incredibly consistent skill to shoot themselves into the own feet, that is. Please don't repeat the "because they can" again, that record is broken.

It is just another example that highlights the inability of Merge to run their network properly, and if it wasn't for Black Friday the downfall would have started way earlier.

P.S. You are such an easy bait.

Chico network does the same... charges almost 7% for BTC deposits.

I am not a fan of Bitcoins, but this definitely screams of ongoing cash flow problems still.
What would scream "ongoing cash flow problems still" to me would be those who have been banned from Merge not receiving their balances. Pretty sure we would hear from them in the Deposit/Withdrawal thread. Oh, wait. We have heard from a few. None complaining of not receiving their funds though.

What has been up with the low traffic on Carbon lately? It seems like half the tourney's are getting cancelled bc not enough entrants at the start, and the ones that do end up running, many are not hitting the GTD amount's. All the sunday majors (for Carbon) being cancelled a couple sundays ago and hardly any cash game flow seems to be early warning signs this site could be in trouble. Thoughts?

I think this is just a combination of being summer when traffic on all sites dies down a bit and Merge not accepting new US players, assuming this is still in effect.

Every business is different and maybe some do processing internaly. Maybe go interview all the sites management and ask them.

At one time i could get 80% rb on some sites. Other sites 0. Thats the way the world works. People set prices. Pay them or dont.

Yea they pay this out quick, somehow they can push through 20k per week with no issues after your banned, but while your a paying customer can take months to pay you 5k via the exact same method.

I took a long break from poker and looking to get back playing online and some live. I was almost going to deposit on Bovada but it seems that it lags allot from what everyone has been saying. I've always liked Carbons software. I know there checks are about a month long wait. I just want to play on a decent site and I don't think carbon is that bad. Is is still one of the best 3 sites to play on?

imo: Bovada sucks- anonymous players and no synchronized breaks

If you're from the usa only 2 sites worth depositing money into: Carbon Poker and Americas Cardroom. Learn bitcoin and use it to deposit and withdrawal on both sites.

Was thinking about making a reload deposit for bonus purposes but is it true that I have to spend $400 in tourny fees to release $20 of bonus? and my bonus expires after 45 days? Did I read it wrong, is my math wrong?

carbon, betonline, Winning Poker Network, Bovada, and Intertops are the most reputable post black friday sites imo. all of these sites have their pros and cons but these 5 have all paid (mostly without worry, some to a higher degree than others)

To each their own, I think WPN sucks because their cash games are terrible, filled with bots and grinders, can't even find a fish a table. While Bovada is anon and servers do suck, by far have the most fish and at the end of the day that is most important to me.

I make way more $ on Carbon without rakeback than I do at WPN where I have 35% rb... and that's with Merge's ****ty traffic.
